In the last few months, my wife and I have visited here twice with family from overseas. On both occasions we absolutely loved it.
The compound is breathtaking, with views across the Yarra Valley to the mountains in the distance. Parking is ample, and large enough for buses, caravans, and cars.
We did the free tour of the facility, and this was awesome. It showed you the process used to make sparkling wine from the grapes in the vineyard to the fermentation to the how to get the bubbles. This was very educational, and the tour guides are quite knowledgeable, friendly, and funny.
After the free wine tour, you can sample free wines from the cellar door, so as long as you are not the designated driver, then you can drink to your heart's content. There is also an attractive restaurant, but we never ate there so I cannot comment.
All in all, this was a great experience for both the connoisseur and novice, and is a definite must for anyone who is into wine or is visiting the Yarra Valley. And best of all, the tour and wine sampling are free!
