I have now been to Oakridge twice for both wine tastings and lunches. Once through a wine tour on the WineBus and for an event (Farmer Wants a Knife through the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival). Oakridge provides a simple chic and classic atmosphere. The staff are incredibly friendly, accommodating and make you feel a home. One of my favourite destinations in the Yarra Valley.

Got turned away at the door. No offer to sit and wait for a table or to make a reservation for later in the day. Pretty disappointed as I have been dying to stop in here. Not sure if I'll come back to try

One of the Yarra Valleys best winery restaurants. Sit out side on a fine day for the best of this place. Generally we share a tasting plate of local produce and have yet to be disappointed. Good wines, but like all in this area they are not cheap.
Service is generally knowledgeable and friendly
If thinking of a lunch at this place on a weekend would strongly advise to make a reservation

Have eaten here 3 times in the past 6 months for special occasions and been delighted each time.
The food is divine, can't fault it, and with matching wines it makes for a most enjoyable dining experience and not at an outrageous cost. Sophie the restaurant manager is a standout. Her bubbly personality is lovely, making you feel like a friend and with an infectious smile, just adds to dining experience. Initially I thought this restaurant could be a bit 'toffy', but pleasantly surprised. Have recommended a number of friends to visit and look forward to returning for another enjoyable meal

The new restaurant is an impressive new addition to the winery. The wines are fantastic and you can try them in the tasting area before having lunch. Service was attentive however the food was not quite as good as I would have hoped. It was busy, however the food was quite underseasoned. Normally I don't mind if there is salt & pepper on the table, but there wasn't. I did ask for some and it did arrive some 5 mins later. All in all we did enjoy ourselves and we will be back, perhaps on a less busy day.
