“Fantastic journey brilliant organisation”
Reviewed 26 April 2014

We went on the overnight cruise and were very pleased we did. Plenty of time to enjoy the wonderful scenery and wildlife. We were exceptionally lucky to see an albatross. The organisation was excellent with every detail taken care of. Helpful staff especially the informative but approachable nature guide. Very good buffet supper and selection of local wines. Cabin comfortable, if a little cramped, but this is easy to put up with for only one night when the attraction is so good. Warning: the sandflies can be a problem; take ample repellent!

“Great trip”
Reviewed 24 April 2014

Beautiful weather though breezy, we saw loads of wildlife and enjoyed cruising through the fjord. Scenery amazing, delicious packed lunch, interesting trip down the power station as well. A must-do experience. Definitely recommend.

“So worth it!”
Reviewed 21 April 2014 via mobile

It's a long day but so worth it. Doubtful Sound is an unbelievable location...the scenery just has to be seen to be believed. The staff are very knowledgeable & keen to make sure everyone enjoys it. Doubtful Sound is a lot quieter than Milford Sound & worth the extra $$

“A trip to remember”
Reviewed 16 April 2014

We have always wanted to take this overnight trip to the remote and beautiful Doubtful Sound in Fiordland National Park. The trip entails taking a boat to West Arm followed by a 45 min bus trip over Willmont Pass then finally getting to Deep Cove where you board the purpose built Navigator, your accommodation for the night.

While not the smallest overnight cruise in the Sounds having a larger customer base allows Real Journey the ability to have a dedicated nature expert, Neil. He pointed out penguins, seals, dolphins, albatross, and many additional birds and plants. Additionally he gave a great talk after dinner.

The food was plentiful and well prepared with coffee and tea always available. Beer and wine are available for purchase and you are not allowed to bring your own.

We chose Quadshare which was fine and saved about $300 as well as going off season (after April 1) saving yet again. Overall the trip was under $600 after we added on the power station tour. You need to ask about the option to add the power station.

Would definitely recommend this trip to friends.
