My husband and I stayed at No 18 Motu-Au Close cottage in November for 5 days and we absolutely loved our accommodations. Jessie and Ray escorted us from their B&B (Kepler mountain view) to the newly constructed cottage and gave us a full tour. The unit was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. Jessie and Ray thought of everything when they furnished the house providing lush towels, electric blankets, and fleece throws stored in the closets. We totally appreciated the free supply of paper towels, sugar, flour, cooking oil, tin foil, cling film, and coffee/tea supplies. Normally a self-contained unit will only have toilet paper, so we would nornally purchase everything else to use a fraction of it then discard the rest. The unit also has a universal DVD player so we could play our US movies or watch some of the DVDs left in the cottage. Jessie works for the DOC and knew everything about the area. She was able to get us discounts to local attractions and also provided a binder full of information in the cottage. We loved cooking dinner at home after a day of sightseeing then would have our tea while admiring the amazing views from the living room.
We hated leaving our home away from home and spent great care cleaning up after ourselves to help maintain the outstanding condition of this cottage. We hope everyone who stays there respects and appreciates these units as much as we did so we can enjoy them again on our next visit!
