“Room with a view”
Reviewed 22 September 2013

My wife and I spent 4 nights in The Meadow Room from the last day of the Ludlow Food Festival. Linda & Chris are the perfect hosts, who gave us a warm welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Our room had the most unbelievable view south across the Shropshire Hills from its floor-to-ceiling window. The room is very tastefully decorated in a modern style to the highest standard with every mod-con including fridge, tea making facilities, large flat screen smart TV, reliable & fast Wi-Fi. The delicious breakfasts provided by Linda were more than enough to sustain us through our days of hiking and exploring, with the fresh raspberries and plums from the garden an added bonus. All in all a perfect place to enjoy the peace and scenery of the Shropshire Hills.

We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. At this time of year, we have a plentiful supply of fresh fruit and try to include as much garden produce in the breakfasts as we can be this, plums, raspberries, apples or pears. We have quinces, cobnuts and medlars almost ready. Thank you for writing a review.

My husband and I spent the weekend of the Ludlow Food Festival here. We had the lovely large room at the back and spent at least some of our time lazily watching the Alpacas, hens, sheep and once a cat. And then there are the views. In addition to the wonderful accommodation, food and setting Chris and Linda are perfect hosts. They kindly dropped us at the wedding we were attending, recommended local hostelries and taxi firms and had time to chat. And the home grown raspberries defy description. This is a little piece of heaven in which to relax, unwind and enjoy the sights, and particularly the tastes, of South Shropshire.

Room Tip: We only saw the room in which we stayed but I am sure they are all lovely. The ones at the back thou...

Pleased that we could help with wedding transport. Along with the wedding you packed a lot into your stay. We are close to Ludlow and also handy for Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock and Ironbridge. The alpacas are proving very popular with guests who enjoy watching and feeding them. Thank you for taking the time to write a review.

As we arrived we knew we were in for a treat. Luxurious accommodation in spectacular surroundings and a warm welcome come as standard here. Rooms are spacious and snuggly at the same time. We all slept peacefully and left the comfort of our rooms begrudgingly to tuck into a delicious breakfast full of home made treats. This is definitely a bolt hole we'll return to, and hopefully soon.

The Ludlow Food Festival occupied most of your stay and next time you return to Shropshire perhaps you will have an opportunity to cycle more. Especially along the beautiful Corvedale Valley and up Wenlock Edge if you are feeling energetic. Thank you for writing a review.

We went for 4 days and 3 nights to the Shropshire Hills Bed and Breakfast during the August bank holiday weekend.

Right from the beginning of our trip, Chris and his wife, who are both pleasant, warm and welcoming, ensured every comfort was looked into. Chris even picked us up from the railway station on our arrival as we were stranded and couldn't get hold of any cabs.

His wife baked delicious gluten free cakes and muffins for me and served us delicious, organic breakfasts every day. They even told the restaurant (The Crown - another fantastic dinner venue down the road) we were going to that i was gluten intolerant so they could arrange the bread and dessert in advance!

Everything in this recently renovated B&B is tastefully thought of, from the room, to the breakfasts, to the tiny little gestures to ensure you have the perfect stay!

The only tiny glitch was the mosquitoes that flew in at night - had left the windows open as it had been a hot, still day. Might be a good idea to install a fan in summers.

Another pleasant surprise was the guests library - an amazing, eclectic collection of books to cover a broad range of interests. Really enjoyed staying at this hidden gem, tucked away in scenic settings. Will definitely visit again!

We was looking for a local B n B close to Delbury hall for my friends wedding, can't get much closer than this BnB 5mins away if that, Chris who didn't need to, offered to drive us down to the day of the wedding, awesome start straight away.
The B n B itself is finished to a very high standard, much better than most 4* hotels we have stayed in, they made us feel welcome instantly with fresh drinks and cakes freshly baked by Linda on arrival!
The room was very clean and amazing views! and the bed is to die for! i even asked where they bought the bed from, so i could get one for our home.
Breakfast was superb.
Overall an amazing BnB and would recommend to anyone.

Room Tip: All rooms are finished to a high standard.

As the nearest B&B to Delbury Hall, we are only too pleased to help wedding guests with transport. We are pleased that you got some inspiration for your project from our decor and that the bed was comfortable -several guests have asked where we bought them. Thank you for taking the time to write a review.

We had occasion to stay at Shropshire Hills Bed and Breakfast during the middle of August by default as our plans to stay with friends in Ludlow fell through.
What a find!!! Just a fantastic warm and welcoming place to stay. The decor is modern/contemporary and very tasteful, guests have their own entrance so coming and going is never an issue. We stayed in the orchard room at the rear of the property and the view was just breathtaking, as we lounged in chairs positioned in the window annexe. The bed and soft furnishings were super quality and comfy and the shower was the best we had come across in any 5 star B &B.
There is so much good to say about this B&B like the breakfast expertly cooked with super fresh produce and lovely little extra's like home made cakes in your room and one given each morning to eat at breakfast or take away for a lovely treat during the day. Chris and Linda were always at hand with good knowledge of the area, and places of interest to visit. This is a relatively new enterprise but expertly researched and the results are faultless. It is not star rated but as someone who visits B&B's often I would give it top marks.

Room Tip: All rooms are lovely but the Meadow room has just that little extra appeal, with the floor to ceilin...

From arrival to departure everything was just right: the delightful breakfast and cakes, attractive gardens, marvellous views of the hills from a most comfortable room and the friendliness and help from Linda and Chris. You would be hard pressed to find anywhere better.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Orchard Room - spacious with great views.
