I have had dinner here three times now. The first 2 times we had the menu of the month (6 courses plus coffee, each course with 1 or 2 glasses of selected, matching special beers). This is excellent value, for the food (often prepared in beer itself) and the beer selection always are very nice. It will take at least 4 hours to go over the whole menu .
However, they ask tou to make a reservation for this, but are not very alert to their email box for reservations. So plan you reservation well ahead (at least a week). The third time I visited "De Heeren" I also tried to make a reservation for the menu, but never got a reply. When we arrived at the restaurant, the menu of teh month was not possible at that time, which was a bit of a let-down (having driven for hours). The "stoof vlees" we had instead was okay (but not very special imo). The beers where excellent of course ;)
To summarize, if you like beer and food prepared in beer, The Heeren is a must go. But make a reservation well ahead. Btw the also have a lot of whiskeys.
