Sisu Boutique Hotel & Spa
Ranked #3 of 3 Hotels in Puerto Banus

Location is very far from peurto banus so had to spend a lot of money on cabs back and forth. Rooms were nice, quite small however. The main issue is the pool and beds, despite staying at the hotel you do not have any allocated beds around the pool- if there is an event on (which there is most days) you would have to buy a space round the pool with bottles of drink. There was only 2 of us therefore most days we would have to leave the hotel to go to the beach as there was no where to sit. Bar tenders stole our bottles of water from where we was sun bathing and said we could only drink things brought from the over priced bar. Behaviour of some of the guests was a little crazy and there were a few incidents.

stunning hotel and bar/pool area is lovely with dj's on, perfect for a girls hen weekend, however the hotel is run terribly! check in was slow, and the staff appeared confused over things. We had a big issue checking out where they said we hadnt paid for 1 room, this wasnt the case at all, and if it was the case we woudnt have got keys to our room....this issue made 21 girls frustrated and late for our bus back to the airport. there was a pool party on the friday which we didnt know about but it was amazing and it turned out to be the best day of our weekend. be warned, you cant sunbathe on a party day. the food at the hotel is lovely, drinks reasonable price for marbella. the rooms/apartments are gorgeous, but we did hear of people being robbed. The restaurant is very slow, orders were wrong, drinks took ages and we were the only 6 people in there! we were a party of 23 with serveral rooms/apartments booked and we had no issues, apart from a note being pushed through a door saying suspicious activity had been seen outside the room, so the hotel are keeping there eyes on things. the apartments appear safe, lock to get in the front gate, lock to get in the bulding, lock for your room (obviously) There is a quiet pool for guests in the apartments. It is a party hotel with great vibes, we would definately go back, we went for an amazing hotel not the service or how the hotel is run!!

Surprise!!! If I had written this review midway through our stay it might have been a different score, but the excellent service and beauty of the property won us over so much we have extended our day to spend more time here. This hotel is designed for a great party. You don't have to leave. When the music stops at 8pm downstairs, the party moves upstairs where you can watch the sunset from your private jacuzzi.

The only reason Sisu doesn't earn a top score is our room experience, but the service and style go above and beyond. But, know what you are getting into! This is not a destination for relax. This is a place to run in your room, change into your two-piece, and get out to the pool to listen to one of the best DJ's I've heard in a while.

While, we came in "plan relax", we put our chill hat on and allowed ourselves to enjoy the hotel! While I fit more into the demographic 5 years ago (while living in South Beach), the music will take your worries away.

The investment here is in the property ... the rooms, not so much. We had air conditioning problems and the beds left a bit to be desired. But, I don't think most people are here to sleep. Upon mentioning the problem, the front desk staff (especially Sofia) were quick to do all they can to resolve the issue. So no complaints in the end.

Ask for Igor (from Brazil!) at the pool and the handsome waiter from the Philippines upstairs, and you will be taken care of for any needs you may have. Want to go Plan VIP - ask for Mikael. Diverse staff who will go out of their way to help you enjoy your time.

Only tip ... know what you are getting into here and you will have a great visit!

Room Tip: Upgrade! Room 216 a no-no!

I am not this hotels target audience, namely young party heads, I was booked here on a hen without knowing the hotel and my greatest error was choosing to take my own room in the main hotel, for privacy, actually a superior room which I'm finding hard to swallow.
I am widely travelled, and this hotel is neither 4*, or boutique.
If it was either I would have had a wardrobe (instead of a rail in the room), a laundry service, and a decent mini bar. As well as a bed throw that wasn't flammable silver grey fur pile.
The service staff are great, the reception/management are unhelpful, rigid & downright useless, the lot of them couldn't manage to connect me to an apartment in the hotel, I also badly cut my foot the 1st day and not only was the 1st aid kit was frankly embarrassing I had to go to a pharmacy as my 1st port of call.
If you are in the apartments the hotel is bearable, you have a quiet pool haven to retreat to and can dip in and out of the 'fun', all the good reviews seem to relate to being in an apartment which is a different building.
If you are in the main hotel don't expect to sleep. At all.
The music/mindless trashy chatter outside is incessant, I had to have ear plugs and sleeping pills to get a few hours each night, my complaints were treated with derision so obviously the target clientele do not require sleep at all.
Each request to reception was always 'no' and (in a 'boutique' hotel) you have to set up a credit card credit to be able to sign anything to your room.
The food is good, very good.
Location isn't and even the rooftop view is not much more than the main road.
I would never stay here again & can't think why anyone would recommend it unless you have no plans except to party like an animal and never notice the surroundings

Room Tip: Stay in the apartment block

A group of us 12 girls arrived on Friday, after a quick check in we booked the Friday pool party, the party was really brilliant, top party atmosphere, would recommend especially if your in a group as it really breaks down the cost but we had more than enough vodka and champagne for the day!
We stayed in the apartments just around the corner and we really had not one complaint. Massive apartments loads of room, 3 balconies 2 bathrooms lounge kitchen 3 bedrooms. We had 2 apartments like this.
We ate a few times at sisu evening and breakfast the food is not expensive for the quality and the breakfast I had was one of the best I've had abroad in terms of quality of the meat.
Cocktails can be a little expensive at 18 euros but to be fair they come in massive glasses and on the last day when we were relaxing around the pool we decided to buy strawberry daiquiri by the jug, 60 euros but going round 6 of us it was only working out 10 euros each and the cocktail was gorgeous. So sometimes it works better if you buy more but split it between a few of you.
The staff were all very friendly at the hotel, waiters/waitresses serving us during the day at the pool party were great.
The guy we booked the pool party with when we arrived Richard I think was his name, was a really good guy really sorted us out with our bed, drinks and a package for sleek nightclub which again turned out to be a great deal!
The apartments have their own pool so if you just want a day of relaxing no music this is an option or you can still use the main hotel pool even when staying at the apartments.
The rooftop is gorgeous at night for pre drinks or food.
We loved this hotel, great party atmosphere, brilliant if in groups, nice staff, clean, good food,
The only one small negative is, it is a bit out of the way and we did have to use taxis a bit to get around, but we did walk to the port it took about 20 mins.

Just back from a 3 night stay at Sisu and it was absolutely brilliant! I would recommend the Friday Pool Party-AMAZING! The rooftop bar is really great too! We bought drinks packages which also helped us save a bit of money. The drinks are quite expensive 18euros for a cocktail, but what do you expect? Food is great and reasonably priced. Staff are sooo helpful. You need to get a taxi to the port but its only about 8euros so was not a problem for us. I will definitely be staying here again =)

Really nice hotel, great pool party - expensive on the drinks but that's what Marbella is!

Helpful staff, nice beds, gorgeous VIP rooms. We had a car and there was free parking too.

Isn't near anything but we just went for a few nights so it was good - maybe not the right place for a full weeks holiday if you want to be near a beach etc
