Our family go on the Leighton Buzzard Railway at least once a year in the summer and then take all the family's kids on the Christmas specials. It's become somewhat of a family tradition and is most enjoyable.
We arrive early and have lunch at the cafe and then ride on the train. Good value for money.

Went there to see the railway , 45 minutes walk from Railway station . Not much else there . Trip a little bit expensive . Small shop with limited goods . Everyone is gearing up for Christmas.

This event happens around the end of September at Paget's Park.
Anything that can be ridden on a motorcycle license is welcome and is part of the show. There is no admission fee at all and if you come on a motorbike you get a half price ticket for the train ride. There is a decent cafe doing drinks and fry ups and a reasonable amount of stands to visit - well worth at least a couple of hours if the weather is ok!

This little narrow guage railway was once a thriving concern and the enthusiasts who man it today deserve a big thank you.It was originally a railway to move sand and aggregates that went to supply industries all over the world. These days it is surrounded by housing and the view is not that attractive.Steam and railway buffs will delight in the engine shed and the volunteers are friendly and ready with all you might want to know.It would seem that they really struggle to keep this bit of our heritage alive and need all the encouragement they can get.The train ride and the ability to climb on the engines would be a delight for children and the little craft shop and tea room at the end of the line is well worth a visit.
