“Hidden gem that we have past so many times!”
Reviewed 16 November 2013 via mobile

We stopped in here for lunch after a walk around Rushmere Park (me, wife and three children) and had superb home cooked, great quality food in comfortable traditional pub surroundings for about £35! My only regret is that we have passed this place so many times on the way back from Rushmere and have only just thought to stop in. I am sure it will become a regular Saturday or sunday haunt for us all through the winter.

We moved to the Heath Inn after being let down by a previous B&B. The Inn has a lovely atmosphere, with oak beams, friendly staff and good food. James made us very welcome when we arrived tired and weary after a harrowing journey. Paul was exceptionally helpful throughout our stay, and Dave the owner of the Heath Inn even offered to drive us to the railway station. I would grade the staff as 5 Star without a doubt, and would definitely stay at this Inn again. Thank you Dave and your team

Dave looked after us very well made to feel at home the food was excellent and his beers was out of this world if you like your ale this is the place to go. Plenty of parking and the staff are so friendly they make you feel so welcome it is so hard nowadays to find places like this.

This pub/hotel has a really really great feel with lots of choice in real ales and great food. The landlord and staff make you feel very very welcome and it has a great atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit. I will back for more very soon with more of my family.

Stayed 2 nights when going to a family reunion in Woburn, 4 miles away. Basic room, clean and well presented. Slept ok the first night but the second night (Saturday) were disturbed many times with doors slamming and loud voices until 2am. The housekeeping involved putting out 4 tea bags and 4 milk portions. They didn't empty the bins or replenish the toilet roll which was only a quarter left when we arrived - none in the bathroom cupboard either. No staff available until after 9am on either morning when breakfast was served as chef doesn't live on the premises.
Meals were good and home made traditional Fayre.
The courtyard was set out with tables, chairs and umbrellas but cigarette ends all over the ground were still there when we left on the Sunday. Ashtrays were on the tables but not everyone obviously used them. No member of staff brushed the ground or emptied the bin on the courtyard the whole time we were there. Obviously they need more staff - a young man, possibly student, serviced the rooms and served breakfast and was obviously a gofer.
Overall not bad for a Guest House\Inn which had an olde England charm with beamed ceilings and flag stone floors etc in the main bar.

Recently stayed at The Heath for one night. On arrival our room was upgraded at no extra
cost as a better room was available.
Our evening meal was extremely good and great value for money, breakfast equally good
and a substantial start to the day.
Dave and his team were extremely welcoming, friendly and very helpful. Nice to stay in a
family run hotel which was efficient and informal.
If you have the opportunity go to The Heath for a great break.

Stayed here on a Saturday night after visiting friends. Nice place and cracking breakfast the following morning. Room was pretty good and bar was excellent.
The manager was a real help as when we arrived after already paying online he didnt have any record of our booking but still managed to fit us in our original room request.
