Go down the lane and round the corner to be captivated by the most magnificent view! Beautiful beaches, views and fantastic walks make this a very special place. An oasis of calm just a ten minute walk from the most enchanting village with delicious pasties, fish and chips and a friendly welcome at the local pub. Altogether with the amazing costal views! The cottage is lovely, cosy and beautifully clean with everything you need and more provided. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!
Ideal location. But be aware walk down to beach is stunning but steep slope down to small private cove. Don't miss the walk through the woodlands that leads to the sculpture park.
Short walk to the pub and really good fish and chip shop/ restaurant food was amazing and dog friendly.
The cottage was cosy the cakes, tea, coffee and even flowers were a nice touch on our arrival, dog friendly and even though the owner not in this country was very helpful.
Would love to visit again.
This is a wonderful cottage, one of a short row tucked behind an old and rather grand ex-hotel. The views from the cottage of the headland with its Iron Age fort and private beach are stunning. A few minutes walk across the lush lawn and you are there by the sea. We headed along the coastal path each evening to Coverack and its gastro pub, little shops and ancient harbour, returning by moonlight: about 10 minutes. The cottage interior was charming and personable, and David was a caring host (by email, as he lives in Argentina) - a cream tea awaited us. Being accessible only by minor lanes, the area is very quiet. You have the run of the ex-hotel grounds, which include a tennis court. We are definitely going back (off-season as usual), as it's hard to imagine better for the very reasonable price.
The cottage, tucked away behind what was the rather posh Headlands Hotel on the headland of Coverack is a little gem. Three cosy bedrooms, a large sitting room with french doors onto a private patio and a kitchen large enough to seat the entire family while planning where to go each day over a huge cornish breakfast! The cottage has 2 reserved parking spaces, which was great - somewhere for us to park and somewhere for any visitors or additional guests too. Step outside the front door and you're moments away from glorious signposted walks to the headland, to Coverack village (pub, shops, places to eat etc) and beyond. Although there are big supermarkets within half an hour's drive (including a Waitrose!) this place feels remote and tranquil. In the evening we liked to wander down for a pint or three to the Paris Inn in Coverack (also did great food) and then make our way back to the cottage by torchlight. The sky is blue black and there is no light pollution - star gazing was a nightly occurrence! Haven't slept this well in years. Have already booked our return visit!
Just spent a long weekend in Coveris staying at this costal cottage. The cottage itself was great, everything we needed for the stay was there and the cottage was very clean and tidy and very comfortable. It also included amenities such as tennis courts and a private beach that we didn’t have the time to try.
Coveris is a wonderful resort if you go out of season and want to get away from it all. There are local pubs and restaurants open all year and shops in the main towns that cater for all your shopping needs. In truth however I went for the walks of which here were many to choose from. Coveris itself is about a 15-minute walk away along a wonderful costal path. The weekend was just what I needed and I managed to switch off and relax for the first time in years. The only minor issue is that if you use Vodafone its hard to get a signal locally, but actually that suited me.
In the summer this would be a perfect base for families with young children or couples. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
