Walking the coastal path of Cornwall we stayed one night in the Paris Hotel. It´s just at the sea next to a little harbour. The rooms are simple furnished but comfortable and out of bed you can look to the sea. That makes it charming- at least for a short stay.
The cook and very kindly service staff someow managed to create a wonderful fish dish- served in the bar- even the table very nice decorated. It was a very nice stay there and we enjoyed an evening with two bottles of "Flying Kiwi" recommended and perfectly cooled white wine.

stopped a the Paris Hotel for lunch after a four hour walk - had thought the view looked lovely & that the 'pub' looked welcoming form the outside, unfortunately it was not the case inside. The barman was little short of rude - whilst sitting outside, the tables either side of us also made mention of the barman's attitude, such a shame as it really is in an ideal location.

We stayed for one night and I was glad that it was not more. The location is brilliant and the view from our room was great. However, the staff were not very friendly and the room we stayed in was shabby and didn't appear very clean. The worst thing was when I asked for a bottle of their wine which was on offer but when the bill appeared the next day they claimed they had given me a more expensive bottle, this was as well as very poor service and dodgy desserts.

I enjoyed a wonderful time at the Paris. From the moment we arrived until the time we left all the staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much hassle. The pub was extremely busy over the Easter period but despite this service was of a good quality throughout. The rooms are comfortable, very clean and have everything that you need. The sea views are fantastic. Having come down from London it was wonderful to be able to open the window and hear the waves crashing against the rocks just outside. My only complaint would have been that the seagulls were quite noisy in the morning, but it did create a wonderful atmosphere of being by the seaside. Breakfast was huge and delicious, again nothing was too much trouble.

We ate in the pub one evening which was great fun. The pub specialised in vegetarian and vegan food which was wonderful as my husband is vegetarian and it can be difficult to find somewhere that offers him a good choice. There was a good choice of locally caught fish and the carvery on Sunday lunchtime was also great value.

Lots of good activities locally, we walked along the coastal path, which was beahtiful. It would be a great place to stay if you were walking along the coastal path - it's right on the route. Wind surfing school is also a must - some of the best instructors in the country according to my husband.

The hotel is in a wonderful position behind the old lifeboat station, with sea views from all rooms. The rooms at the front have the best views, looking over the harbour. The Cornish Coastal Path runs right passed the hotel. The room was clean but very utilitarian. A few soft furnishings and pictures would have made the room more welcoming. There was no seat or table, and the mattress of the queen bed was not that comfortable. there was no hairdryer in the room, although one was provided when requested. there was a small ensuite shower room. There was no information on the locaility in the bedroom, but there were three bibles! There was little information elsewhere in the hotel. The breakfast was rather basic, with limited choice. We asked for fruit and yogurt, but rather surprisingly none was available. There was a good choice of food from the bar menu, which could be served in the bar or adjoining restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Despite its wonderful location the lack of attention to detail let the Paris Hotel down, and the management seems to be missing an opportunity to benefit from its location and the history of the hotel and the locality. We stayed two nights at school half term. On one night we were the only residents, and on the second night just one other couple had booked in.
