This review is for the restaurant and bar
We ate at the Paris two days running. The first day we ate at the bar. The barmaid was friendly and the food average to good. The table however contained debris from the previous diners and this was not wiped away. There was a pile of miscellaneous rubbish in one corner by the fire, and the open fire itself had been lit earlier but had gone out (we dined at around 8:00pm). No decent cider - just strongbow.
The locals seemed friendly.
The second day was Valentines Day and there was a special menu. We dined in the restaurant and I must say the food was lovely. Staff were attentive and the landlord very friendly. There was only one kind of champagne on offer which was £38 but pretty average in flavour. The restaurant is very plain, with cloths and candles on the tables but no flowers or any effort to make it look pretty. Above the door there is a kind of high level shelf area, above which is a ships wheel and a lobster pot, but also some rolls of decorating supplies flung there.
We enjoyed the meal but think that with a bit of effort and imagination (rather than a lot of expense) this could be a really lovely pub

I'm eighteen, and my family has been going to Coverack and The Paris since long before I was born. We come to Coverack twice a year (once for a holiday, and the other for a day trip), and The Paris is one of the several things we love about the village. :) Extremely friendly staff, high quality food and has a great atmosphere. I'm also a vegetarian, but unlike at most other pubs, I don't feel that my food choices are limited. The Wednesday quiz nights are always heaving, but we always look forward to them a lot. Sitting outside in the beer garden is lovely with the oceanic views; we've often seen seals and basking sharks from here.

We spent most of news eve at the Paris. Considering we were a bit late the service was excellent , the menu choices were well thought out and the food it self was extremely good indeed.
Thanks for a great night.

My partner and I usually stay at Fernleigh’s B&B during the summer months but my sister, who owns a holiday cottage in the village, recommended us to stay at the Paris Hotel. On my sister’s advice we should book early, so I am glad we did, as there was only the twin room left when we booked in August 2013.

Our room was very nice – the colour scheme is very pleasing to the eye, with all brand new furniture. The shower-room appears to be small but it is actually fine, and very clean. The shower is very good, but I did have problems with having to take a shower a couple of times, when the other guests and I were trying to take showers at the same time (no hot water). In the end, I got up early to have a shower which actually did turn out to be the best idea. The only downside to our bathroom, was the window seals did not completely stop the cold wind coming through it when we had two stormy nights, so the noise of the storm was quite loud.

Breakfast is served between 8am to 9pm in the main function room. Views from the windows over the sea is amazing, and it was a joy to watch the sun rise from over the horizon. It was definitely an amazing sight. Breakfast consists of a choice of cereals, yogurts, orange juice, fresh coffee or tea, and a freshly made cooked breakfast.

The only issue we had is the parking. Although there is parking for pub residents, it was always full with what appeared to be staff cars and we were unable to park there. The village is very popular, and the free parking spaces become a premium, so be aware of this during the busiest times of the year.

All in All we really enjoyed our stay, and would recommend anyone to stay there.

Other than that I would recommend anyone to stay at the Paris.

Room Tip: The twin room looks directly over the sea, and may be the quieter side to the pub.

If you like your roast beef rare, then go here, if you don't, then have the pork or gammon which were other options on the day. Lovely vegetables, cheerful staff and fabulous views. Coverack is lovely, we used to live close by, and if we still lived there we would be regulars again. Well done Ian, keep up the good work.

Room Tip: Only had Sunday lunch so can't comment.

Wish we had known about this hotel before we came to the area. We stayed else where but came to Coverack and ate here. A great atmosphere at the pub with locals as well as tourists drinking and eating.
It has a very extensive blackboard menu and the fish was the best I had in Cornwall.

I would recommend this as a great place to eat.

Have just spent a most enjoyable 2 night stay in the Paris!
What a tranformation, the rooms have been totally refurbished and renovated, and provide superb views of the Cornish Coast...you cannot get closer , unless you slept on the beach it self!
The food is of a very high standard, and resonably priced. Ian and his staff make you feel very welcome, and cannot do enough for you!
The beer on offer was superb, 4 local Ales, and Rattler Cider, as well an the usual suspects....my favourite was Tribute Extra....very nice!!!
Bearing in mind we stayed at the end of November, it was great to see the pub doing so well.
Wednesday night is the popular quiz night, and its great to see the rivalries between the local teams!!!.......It was even better because we won 2 bottles of wine!!
This great pub is the hub of this very friendly village, and is full of friendly local characters.
Will we stay again.....You bet!

Room Tip: All the rooms have superb views, we stayed in Chynalls, a light and airy room, fantastic power showe...
