“Friendly hotel with good food”
Reviewed 14 June 2014

All the staff and locals were very friendly and welcoming. Service was excellent. This is a prime spot in the pretty village of Coverack and the Hotel overlooks the sea and small fishing harbour. The bedrooms were refurbished in 2013 and were very comfortable. We stayed in Lowlands with a lovely seaview. The pub/restaurant is very busy in the evenings and we would recommend booking a table. The food is brilliant with an extensive choice of menu. We would recommend the squid and the fish pie. Everyone enjoyed their meals and there is a good choice of beers. Children friendly and parking is adjacent. We only stayed 1 night as walking the South West Coastal Path but would certainly return and recommend to others. First class and thank you.

Stayed here recently as a surprise night away which my partner had booked for my birthday. We only live about 20 miles away but it was lovely to take a trip down to Coverack , where we dont seem to get to very often . Arrived mid morning with no problem about checking in at this time . Had a lovely double room which also had a sofa so was a reasonable size . Think this was their family room , although this would make it abit of a squeeze with the bed pulled out . Dropt our stuff to our room and went out around the local area ,having a lovely lunch at Roskilly's. Great place to visit with children . After walking the coast path around The Paris we had a few late afternoon drinks in the bar chatting to the friendly locals and barmaid. After a brilliant shower in our en suite , probably one of the best showers i've had , we had our evening meal in the pubs restaurant . Glad we had reserved a table as the place was packed .We did however wait along time for our food to come, it didn't bother us as we enjoyed the wine and atmosphere . When the food did arrive it was excellent and worth the wait! We stayed there for the evening as they have a quiz on a Wednesday evening which was great fun. Sadly we didn't win!! After a great nights sleep with the waves splashing the rocks outside our bedroom window we enjoyed a lovely cooked breakfast followed by drinking the coffee outside in the beautiful morning sunshine . Great staff, great food , great pub , great stay...well done St Austell Brewery your pubs have vastly improved , we will be back !

We have just returned from a couple of night stay in The Paris hotel. We were able to stay with our dog in a double room. The rooms are small but have everything you could need , comfy bed , great views and a nice en-suite. We had looked at staying at the travel lodge at Hayle as it was nearer to where we needed to be. The TL was only £5 per night cheaper and didn't include breakfast, so we felt The Paris was good value for money, for a better overall experience. We knew the food was good as we had stayed in the village last year and ate here a few nights, and it didn't disappoint this time either. Nice friendly staff and villagers. Our only complaint and why we didn't give it 5 stars was breakfast was a bit chaotic, especially as we had the dog who was not allowed in the restaurant and we ended up having to collect our plates , glasses etc to sit in the bar area. But the food was lovely.

Recently my friend and I did the whole Cornish Coast path and on arriving in Coverack hungry we had the most amazing fish and chips in The Paris Hotel. We decided to spend an extra day here and enjoyed the quiz night. We were made very welcome and thanks to Dan the barman we felt very much at home. Good luck to you all for the coming season, and well done to you all.

Just spent the week in Coverack, and a few evenings in the Paris.
The welcome was warm and friendly, the Real Ales and local cider went down very well.
The food is of a very high quality, and reasonably priced
Wednesday night is Pub Quiz night when the locals and visitors have great fun!!

A small, friendly hotel situated right at the end of Coverack, surrounded on three sides by the sea and harbour. Our room, although small, was clean and had fabulous views. The hotel is also a 'locals' pub, serving good food at reasonable prices. We would definitely recommend this as a great base to explore Cornwall.
