“Very quaint little harbour setting”
Reviewed 15 July 2014 via mobile

A very nice little harbour town with a lovely view.

The beach is lovely. Small but in a picturesque setting. You can only access it by going down step steps. Some rocks towards the wall and nice clean sand on the remainder. The sea is a lovely clear blue.

We walked to the small harbour and had great chips from the little fish and chips shop and ate them on the harbour wall. They really were nice chips... A sign says they are not frozen... They were well cooked, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Superb.

Then we went for a drink at the Paris Hotel and sat outside overlooking the sea.

All in all a great place to visit.

“Nothing spectacular”
Reviewed 5 July 2014

The scenery is typical of cornwall, rocks, sea and more rocks. There are a couple of shops that are ideal for gift shopping however the chip shop leaves a lot to be desired. They are over priced and bad quality. As a resident of cornwall i have visited several chip shops and this is by far the worst

“Wonderfully quaint and traditional”
Reviewed 24 June 2014

Stunningly beautiful, when we went the sea was like a millpond. The village is small, with a few shops selling touristy bits. The beach was spotlessly clean, shelving gently making it ideal for young children. dogs are allowed on the beach all year round and it was funny watching them playing in the water

“Some things don't change”

Little has changed since I first saw this in 1951. It is good to see that the small boat fishing industry appears to have revived

“Beautiful village!”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

We stayed in Coverack for the first time. What a beautiful village! Quiet, serene, friendly villagers, good food. Stayed in Lowlands which is a beautiful house. You can see almost all of Coverack from there. Small shops for food, gift shops, fish and chips and great views. Would definitley go back!
