Recommended length of visit: 2-3 hours
Owner description: The Adventure You've Been Hoping For!! Let yourself be taken on this half day excursion by the river, snaking its way through the dense Vanuatu rainforest. The river has carved out a magnificent gorge, lined with remarkable limestone formations and overhanging supersized ferns and trees. Be serenaded by birds as you float down to the waterfall and spend some time there taking in the natural beauty. Follow the guide on an easy, instructive walk through the lush jungle and finish off with some refreshments (fruit and water). Ready yourself for the infectious laughter and smiles coming from the happiest people on the planet, as we drive passed their villages and gardens on our way to and from Mount Hope. Required are closed (reef)shoes and shorts. Bring camera, towel and change of clothes.

“So much fun!”
Reviewed 26 May 2014

The 40 minute drive through local villages was beautiful but the float down the river was amazing. From the jump off all the way through to the waterfall was just so beautiful and such a lot of fun. The guides were wonderful & made you feel very safe as everything was well explained and controlled. I thought I might be a bit daunted going up the waterfall but John was very encouraging & helpful and as long as you listen to the guides it wasn't all that difficult at all (I'm 51 with only reasonable fitness). Would love to do it again!

“Awesome trip”
Reviewed 16 April 2014

Love love loved this! What can I say! Drive up a dirt road for 40 mins through traditional villages and jungle to a deep, blue river cutting it's way through rocks and jungle! Jump in (or step in!) with life jacked and reef shoes on and float down stream through little rapids and gentle current for half an hour to cascading water coming in from adjoining river, climb up the waterfall (not hard) and trek back through the jungle to the car! All in a half day! Daveson and John were fantastic guides. A must do! Run only through Oyster Island resort as the land is private property!

“Enjoyable adventure”
Reviewed 17 February 2014

It had been raining when we went but that didn't take away from what a great experience it was. From jumping 3m into the river (optional) to let the warm water pour over us in the pool next to the waterfall to climbing up the waterfall, it was really fun! And the flat down the river was incredibly relaxing and a great way to enjoy Espirito Santo's natural beauty. Our guide was very knowledgeable and filled us in about the local area and people. Highly recommend.
