We had bicycled all day and I was hungry - steak and fries were my dinner objective. We were staying at the hotel and had just put the bikes away. We asked about dinner and the opportunity to have a nice, rich, succulent steak. Nope, not here.
"But!" they said, "we have great salads, filled crepes and omelets."
Oh. Not what I had in mind.
But, you know, the staff were so friendly, amusing and persuasive, that we all (4 of us) decided to try their restaurant that evening. We weren't disappointed and I really didn't miss the steak.
All of us ordered one of the large, composed salads - think Chef's salad, with a lot on it, be it smoked salmon or sliced duck or the like. And some of us ordered an omelet after the salad. That was followed by a rich vanilla ice cream and hot, home-made chocolate sauce. Yum!
So, here you can have a light dinner or create a larger one from the menu. I left the restaurant with my biking "gas tank" properly filled.
