If you are in Johannesburg, you really must go and see Nelson Mandela's House in Soweto. He used to live there until he was sent to prison and from that momen this wive lived there for a long time. They show you the small Soweto house with the typical 4 rooms. Lots of texts from Nelson are there, that give a good impresiion of Nelson and the brave way he resisted apartheid. Not far from huis house you will also see Tutu's house and the monument for those kids that died 1976 as the police shot a lot of young students because they refused to use the Afrikaans. This place is also a must go.
