“Management??”
Reviewed 18 April 2014

We enjoyed a lovely walk in Nether Stowey and then visited the tea rooms at the Post Office. The food was excellent, as was the service by a charming young waitress. However......... we were mortified to hear they way the manager spoke to her. It was disgraceful, public humiliation is not our scene, and that would definitely stop us from visiting the tea room again.

Management - learn how to treat your staff!!

“'Frosty reception'”
Reviewed 11 April 2014

Tasty teacake and coffee marred by very frosty and unwelcoming reception by young member of staff. We were a small group of walkers and we did offer to take our boots off but she did not take us up on it. We did not leave a mess but you would think in a place like this walkers in boots were a common occurrence. Food was good though.

There can be no excuse for the reception given by the member of staff and appropriate action has been taken to remedy this.

We welcome walkers, cyclists etc whether in groups, who can pre-book, or indeed anyone else who may care to use our facilities.

Give us another try, we are sure you will find a different response.

Thanks you for your comments.

“Ploughman's hit the spot”
Reviewed 23 February 2014

After a six mile walk ending in Nether Stowey, the cheese ploughman's was the perfect light lunch. Two types of local cheddar with the usual trimmings hit the spot. So too did the pot of leaf tea with plenty of water to squeeze out three cups each.

Friendly service from the (we presumed) husband and wife team who run the post office; the tea room is linked to the shop.
