“TRIP OF A LIFETIME!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 May 2012

Me and 14 friends stayed at Casa Pino Solo this April for my hen party. We had without a doubt the most fantastic time at the VILLA thanks to Lisa and Nigel. They arranged transfers for us from the airport, which helped us start our weekend stress free. When we arrived at the villa Nigel and Lisa were there to welcome us and show us the ropes. They were so friendly and welcoming we felt at home immediately.

The villa was spotless, spacious and full of all the mod cons and activities needed for a weekend of fun. The hot tub was well used during our stay and made the experience all the more special. We never found ourselves bored at the villa even with the storms we had more than enough at the villa to keep us all entertained. We made use of the table tennis, pool table and karaoke machine (thank goodness we had no neighbours to worry about). Lisa and Nigel also arranged transport for a night out on the town and advised us on places to go and things to see. We had a wild and exciting time and felt at home with such a fantastic place to stay. The surrounding area is stunning and a walk away from the villa is a friendly and cheap bar, with a lovely owner.

We all loved our time at Casa Pino Solo and all plan to return with our families. We can't thank Lisa and Nigel enough for all they done for us, they made my hen a trip of a lifetime. I would highly recommend this villa and I will defiantly be returning in the near future.

We stayed at the apartment in April as a group of 15 ladies on a hen do. We had an absolute blast! Even the unfortunate bad weather couldn't put us off as there was plenty to do! Lisa and Nigel were very accommodating and helped with all our requests from start to finish, from helping with restaurant bookings to giving us weather warnings!

As we wanted to make it really special I even posted loads of home made bunting to Spain which they were kind enough to decorate the whole apartment with for us (which made it that little bit extra special on arrival).

The setting itself is beautiful and the villa is clean and quirky (perfect). We had fun in the sun playing on ping pong and at the pool table, but the obvious highlight was the hot tub... I don't think a moment went by without anyone being in it through the whole holiday! The villa is an hour away from the city of Granada or to the south coast Benalmadena for a day/night out.

If you are considering going here on holiday I would definitely recommend it, for whatever you want to do I know that Nigel and Lisa will support you in every way they can to have a great holiday.

We want to go back every year!

We had a wonderful four night stay in one of the poolside apartments. Casa Pino Solo is superbly maintained, with a fantastic hot-tub, pool (a little smaller than it appears in the pictures but great for basking or children), BBQ, bikes, veranda, olive groves and is situated in a beautiful rural setting with many nearby walks and the lake. The apartment was immaculate with all the self-catering facilities you would wish for (salt and pepper shakers would be good!), ipod docking station, hairdryer, stereo, new large flatscreen TV, microwave, dining table, large leather sofa-bed and with another larger fuller kitchen for all guests to use. Lisa and Nigel are great hosts; providing local knowledge and recommendations, and deserve the high ratings Pino Solo has earned. They very kindly provide a welcome pack for arrival; it is worth noting the larger supermarket is in Archidona (which is only a 5 minute detour if driving from Malaga), and you may well wish to shop en route from the airport to avoid having to double-back on yourself later.

Car hire is a must and enables endless sightseeing off the beaten track; recommend buying an Adalucia road map. It is worth exploring places like the Caves of San Marcos near lake Iznajar, Grazalema and Zahara. Worth taking a evening flight home and spending the day exploring Malaga's National Park on the the east of the A45.

Overall, great place for off-season rural apartment rental in the midst of nature and for large group family/ friends holidays.

Room Tip: Go for the top floor apartment if available as you will have your own private terrace.

When we travel with our family, we prefer to stay at family-owned homes, condos and apartments. We have enjoyed a richer, more authentic experience in all of the countries and towns we have visited staying in these family-owned dwellings. Hands down, Lisa and Nigel were the warmest and most attentive hosts we have ever had the opportunity to know. Casa Pino Solo combines in-house amenities (fireplace, duvets, well-equipped bathrooms) with all you might want on the exterior (beautiful vistas, high end hot tub, heated pool, comfortable gathering places) Were it not for Lisa's informative emails to my first inquiry, I doubt we would have found this jewel in Andalusia. The guide books direct everyone to the major cities. Lisa and Nigel helped us to see charming Iznajar, the wonderful Nuñez de Prado Olive Oil Factory in Baena, picture perfect Zuheros and Ronda, and countless area attractions. We drove to Granada to sightsee and ski, visited Gibraltar, and enjoyed scuba diving the Costa del Sol. We saw and did a great deal while keeping it relaxed on our vacation. Kudos to Lisa and Nigel for creating an amazing resort in Iznajar!

The three of us had 6 nights at the beautifully situated Casa Pino Solo. Nige and Lisa were extremely friendly and helpful providing lots of valuable advice and they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Our 9 year old daughter loved the pool, and the hot tub proved a lovely way to relax after exploring the many wonderful sights of the surrounding area.

We spent six wonderful days at Casa Pino Solo and could not point to one single failing, a rare enough occurrence! Everything was done by Lisa and Nigel to ensure that our every need was catered for: right from the initial inquiry through to our departure they could not have been more friendly and helpful. We really appreciated their kindness in providing the welcome pack that awaited us when we arrived tired, hungry and hot.
We particularly loved sitting on the roof terrace or wallowing in the hot tub at night, star gazing and enjoying the sheer tranquility and beauty of the surroundings.
Waking in the morning to that magnificent view over the olive groves was sheer delight also.We consider ourselves very lucky to have found such beautiful accommodation and such thoughtful hosts and will certainly recommend them to our friends.

Well, what can we say?!

A full house of us for Lisa and Nigel for a week and they were the most wonderful and gracious hosts for us. We were a mixture of friends and family and had the whole villa to ourselves. As for our Lisa and Nigel, nothing was too much trouble for them and it was nice to know that you could pop out in the morning and find Nigel checking the pool and jacuzzi and have support or advice to hand. I'd picked up a nasty virus on the plane over and was incredibly ill for the first few days. Nigel was amazing and helped us sort me out, even following us to the medical centre to help translate!
The villa is just amazing. It's spacious, spotless and luxurious and is in breathtaking surroundings and using Geoff as a taxi to get us to places meant we had a free tourist guide and lots of amusing anecdotes.
The lake is just stunning and the locals are very friendly in the little villages dotted around the area.
It's quite simply a beautiful place owned by beautiful down to earth people, who are always on hand to help or give advice of where to go or what to do.

Can't thank Lisa and Nigel enough for all everything they did for us and can't wait to return as there was so much that we didn't do the first time around!
So thank you both again for being so gracious, amusing and accommodating!
Long may they continue!
