“Fabulous house in tranquil location”
Reviewed 31 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

We stayed for a week in this beautifully renovated rural house. Situated right next to a natural spring the house had a lovely pool which is filled with spring water. The casa is located in olive groves and at night has zero light pollution so you can sit on the top terrace sipping wine whilst watching bats flit through the starry sky - heavenly! Beds are supremely comfortable and there was so much room for sunbathing and relaxing. The ping pong table led to some great family fun tournaments. Everything was spotless when we arrived and we loved sleeping in clean white sheets - we seem to be plagued with black or very tatty sheets when we normally visit holiday houses in Spain!!!!
The hosts Jackie & John are very friendly and have so much local knowledge that they are happy to share. We felt really welcomed to the house and loved the goodies that awaited us. Iznajar is a 5 minute drive away and is a real treat. We highly recommend this house for all ages - our group ranged from 5 to 70.

“What a wonderful place, hospitality great, can't wait to go back!”
Reviewed 2 June 2013 for a stay in May 2013

We have just arrived back from our 12 day stay in Andalusia. First week was ok down on the Costa del Sol but our holiday only really started when we arrived at Casa Fuente Moyana. Jackie and John our hosts made us most welcome, the goodies in the fridge the added bonus. The Casa was furnished/decorated to a very high standard with everything you would expect in our own homes. We all loved the sun terrace and the pool, especially the girls and the view of the olive groves.

The area of Iznajar was very rural but also close to the Motorway system and we enjoyed our day trips to Granada and Cordoba.

We now have a dilemma, we've planned our holidays for the next 2 years but want to return. In the meantime we can't recommend the Casa highly enough and also the attentive hosts Jackie and John.

“Charming Casa in unspoiled area of Andalucía”
Reviewed 4 July 2012 for a stay in June 2012

Perfect home for you vacation. Of cause, you will find everything you need there, so you can feel at home: house restored with love and attention to any detail, all equipment that you could fink of is there for you. Good and well maintained pool, young garden, lots of toys for children to play inside and outside. Want to spend a day in a house? Books, CDs, grate movie collection, Sonny play station, pool, TV , internet... The host, Jackie and John, are really taking their business seriously. If there is anything you need – they will be there to help. Jackie and John even organized a birthday party for me in the house – they themselves have decorated the house for the party, Jackie and her Spanish friend cooked a perfect traditional Andalucían dinner and served it in the light of the candles. We have then moved to the vine terrace and listened to the flamenco (live) songs – unforgettable and really emotional moment we have experienced when listening to that local flamenco singer. His songs really took our breaths away... And the gala part of the party was dancing, of cause.. Local dance teacher showed us some basic steps of traditional Spanish dances and we’ve spent an hour or so in a rhythm of Andalucía night life

The location of the house is good for travellers who want to explore Andalucía – its located just in the middle between Cordoba, Granada and Malaga, so that all main places to visit are in a easy to reach distance. Cordoba, Malaga, Inaja (perfect beaches and grate Mojito), Granada, Seville, Sierra Nevada mountains, Ronda, charming little villages in the mountains – everything is in the easy to reach distance and you can easily arrange a full or half day trips from this Casa to any place you want. But the most beautiful village of Andalucía we have ever seen (and we have seen many) is here, just behind the mountain, 5 minutes’ drive from Casa – lake and village of Iznajar. Emerald-coloured water which is also perfect for swimming or just meditation - when you look at that lake, its almost impossible to think of anything in the world except how beautiful it is . Village itself is located on the hill, overlooking the lake and olive fields. We use to go on the top of the village’s castle to see sunsets there with the glass of vine – those perfect moments of simple happiness...

What we have really brought back home from Andalucía, is not buildings and cities we have seen – they are beautiful and interesting. But, most importantly, we have met warm, simple and friendly people (even thou nobody speaks English there), spent time in a charming house restored by owners with love and attention and I can say every moment there in this house and this area of Spain was a moment of peace and happiness.

“Lovely traditional villa”
Reviewed 27 January 2012 for a stay in November 2011

I stayed here with my husband and 2 year old daughter for a week in November 2011. The house had just been renovated in a sympathetic fashion and it felt authentically Spanish. My husband enjoyed playing with the wood burner and my daughter liked the toys left. We tried the pool but at that time of year it was too cold!
There are some quite steep stairs and so it is more suitable for older children. Also the village is quite isolated so you have to be prepared to travel to the supermarket etc. I found it too tempting to drive to Seville for 90 mins but I don't think my family appreciated this.
I would definitely go back, particularly with a group. The owners made us feel very welcome and obviously the house has been a great labour of love
