The resort is rather expensive for what you get. The service was a let down and I got the feeling that I was not treated with respect.
The location though is great. It’s arguably one of the best resort locations in Kata Beach. They advertise themselves as being a ‘no children’ resort – but kids where all over the place.
The daily dinner buffet is mediocre at best. But it is worth the money seeing as the dinner buffet is so cheap at 650 Thai Baht per person.
We were present for the Christmas Eve dinner buffet. Now that was good food. However, though the deserts looked fantastic, it was mostly sponge cake with different icing.

Room Tip: Ocean view rooms are subjected to copious amounts of Indian weddings.

We stayed for 7 days. Don’t get me wrong the location is fabulous with direct access to the beach and beautiful views if you have a sea view room. BUT the facilities and general service and attitude of staff is appalling. Very little English spoken and when we approached the reception desk we were only ever greeted with a “yes”? Our rooms were tired with no working phones and dodgy toilets. Room service was haphazard at best with dirty crockery left for days at a time and no replacement of tea/coffee/sugar when it was used. Cockroaches in the bathroom. To get a lounge chair poolside requires a 5.30am visit to reserve chairs despite the many signs that reserving lounges is not allowed. Many lounges have towels on them all day without any sign of the guests who have reserved them. Buffet breakfast very busy and food at the resort average. 3 of us ended up sick with a stomach bug at the end of the stay. No information about the resort facilities available at check in or in the room and questions not particularly welcome. Basically if you are not Russian or Eastern European you are treated as a second class guest. We are from Sydney Australia and certainly were not welcomed like those from the Northern hemisphere. And the amount of cigarette smoke at the outdoor eating areas and poolside was intolerable. Would not recommend this resort - any reviews saying this is a 4 star resort are simply not true.

Room was nice but a little dated
Resort was run and staff friendly and helpful.
Resort caters more for the family holiday.
Great location but well away from Patong for family.
We had a great time there with the family and their Christmas night dinner and show was great

Room Tip: Best to have a room on a higher level to get beach views

We arrived at the resort and was shown to our room (sea view) - which was lovely. Unfortunately the toilet was blocked - so a staff member had to sort that out first. One day we would have towels, the next day there would only be one. It seemed to me I spent more time on the phone to housekeeping than enjoying my holiday. Same with toilet paper. Our room was also only serviced in the afternoon at around 2pm which I can understand with a hotel of this size, but then could they not employ extra cleaning staff for the Christmas holidays? The food, although abundant, is mediocre at best. Breakfast was definitely the meal of the day for us. Lots of fresh fruit available, but no muesli and the yoghurt was either watered down with milk or it was drinking yoghurt, but not what we consider yoghurt. At least there was a wide variety of other foods to choose from. There was a Christmas Eve show at the hotel, which was fun to watch, not very professional as it apparently was the first time they put this on, but we did enjoy it. A buffet meal was included in the ticket, and seafood lovers could eat themselves into a coma. I'm allergic to shellfish so I had to stick to safe options, of which there weren't many. The location of the hotel and beach access is fantastic. The beach area is kept spotless and the time spent on the beach excellent! Do yourself a favour and book in advance (and pay!) for an umbrella and loungers on the beach with the private vendor. Guests at the hotel sneak down early morning and place towels on loungers around the pool although there is a notice that this is not allowed, it happened. The lack of communication as very few of the staff speak more than a few words of English was unacceptable. There is one Russian speaking staff member who spoke better English and the poor woman must have been working 24/7 helping English speaking guests. We have been to Phuket before (at another hotel) and we did not have this problem. On Chrismas day we went for lunch at the Italian pizzeria attached to the hotel. My partners meal arrived, mine never did! Every time we stopped somebody to ask about my meal they disappeared to enquire and never returned. Eventually we gave up, my partner had his lunch. As we were leaving my food arrived! No explanation or apology given. At the pool bar the staff were very friendly, once again only one waiter speaking reasonable English. I ordered a Coke and our waiter could not understand what I wanted. I honestly think that with the hotel heaving with guests that the management/owners could make sure that their staff gets training in speaking basic English. Kata is busy with loads of tourists, the little shops all seem to sell exactly the same thing for the same price. We went to Patong (which is just a short distance away) twice. There is a new shopping mall and we had a few good meals there. We also rented a scooter for a day and it was scary but fun. Very few road signs in English, so we drove around trying to follow our map, but eventually just gave up and headed back to the resort. We saw a number of accidents with tourists renting scooters, so be careful. We visited the Tiger Kingdom, informative but very sad seeing the tigers kept in cages. Phuket is lush, not very clean, but it is worth a visit if you like a beach holiday. Would I go back to this specific resort? I didn't enjoy my stay, but that does not mean that you won't.

Room Tip: Sea view definitely. There are also rooms with private pools.

I would recommend this place if you are travelling with young kids. They will love the massive pool and both pool and ocean are visible from the sundeck lounges. The music played around the pool is generally dreadful but they will happily put on your own selection if you ask. The buffet breakfast becomes a bit ho hum after a few days but it is ok and plenty of choice. Best deals by booking direct but spend some time checking out offers, Easy to miss the best deals with added freebies like massages and wi fi if you are not careful. Located down at the quieter end of Kata Beach its a nice location
