From the approach this does not look anything special but once you go inside you will be amazed. We stayed in the Baray Villa no 212 (scorpio) and it was huge. The rooms are spread over two levels with a huge bedroom upstairs (with the biggest bed we've ever slept in, bigger than super king) with large flat screen and a sofa at the foot of the bed with a built in foot spa. The bathroom has a huge stand alone bath tub (for two) with large wardrobe (with safe) and walk in shower and his & hers sinks. Downstairs is a living room area with large flat screen, another toilet and outside shower, and a jacuzzi which leads on to small secluded pool area which then leads on to the private long pool with waterfalls at one end and a bar at the other. The in-villa mini-bar is exceptionally well priced and the in-villa dining is also cheap and of a very good quality.

Good points - The service was exceptional and always with a smile, the mini-bar was cheap, you can have your breakfast delivered to your room for no extra charge, the private pools, the impressive surrounding and the private dining room/bar for use by only the Baray Villa guests.
You also get little benefits to use each day. We tried the meal (not the best but the wine was good), the spa treatment (absolutely fantastic) and the airport transfer (again, excellent).

I would heartily recommend this accomodation to anyone visiting the area and it really does deserve the ratings on Tripadvisor.

Room Tip: Avoid Gemini - it's the very first Villa and seemed to be a liitle overlooked (whist the others...

The Baray Villa is just amazing. We stayed there for 5 nights in october and absolutely loved it. The Villa's and there amenities are just astonishing. The pool is beautiful and very quiet. The pool-bar is great to have a drink or some lunch.

The personnel is very helpful. In the Villa's you have access to your own personal assistant. Just dial 0 and ask whatever you want. If you have any complaints they will be sorted out immediately. We noticed on our first night that our downstairs tv (yes, there are 2 tv's in the villa's) did not work. The girl from housekeeping who was doing the turn-down service saw this and called the personal assistant. An hour later we had a new tv!!

We had a great stay and will come back again. Thanks to everyone at the Baray Villa's.

This place is amazing. We stayed at one of the baray villas which is the secluded double story units. From check in to check out. Every need is met with the utmost of pleasure from the staff. The food is exceptional as we ate at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner most nights when we stayed there. We found the rooms exquisite. The style and decor is just beautiful.

We chose this place due to the comments and ratings on trip advisor. Now we can clearly see why. What makes this place exceptional is that everything is 5 stars like the rooms and food but what makes the difference is the quality of service from all the staff, their smiles and greetings are infectious and they bend over backwards to make sure your stay is perfect. There is nothing you can fault with this place. You really have to experience it yourself. The only thing you won't like is that you have to leave.

Now into our 4th day of our honeymoon loving every minute we spend in this stunning villa, i just had to write this review whilst sitting here relaxing wondering if we should jump in to the pool, have a shower under the monsoon rain, cross the road to have a massage or mess around on the gargantuan bed. Alas only 2 more nights living like a king and queen.

We had originally planned to spend our honeymoon in The Samaya Seminyak and Ubud in Bali, however, the earthquake that happened on the 13 of oct off the coast of bali put us off the idea. With 2 days before our wedding I frantically tried to search for new flights and a new destination whilst my wife to be organised last minute wedding prep. With a daunting taks ahead i searched the net for the best villas in Phuket and found a few that matched our wishes. With one day to our wedding Baray a few emails and phone calls later i had paid for our honeymoon by credit card over the phone.... all booked in the nick of time....hope its good or my wife to be is going to go a bit doolalay.

Our transportation was arranged by the hotel. Off the plane, luggage, see our name, onto the luxury minibus then an hour or so later arrive at our destination.

Check in was a breeze, in fact the process was carried out in the peace and quiet of our villa to be for the next five days. Ms Or showed us around the palace leaving us speechless. Yup its a good un. Ms Or advised us that she would be our personal assistant during our stay and to ask for anything to help make our stay as relaxing as possible.

Living room - i would say the approximate dimensions are 8m x 10m which includes the jacuzzi, downstairs toilet / shower, hallway etc.

Jacuzzi - a little pool within the living room area which leads to the private pool then onto the larger private villa guest only pool. During our stay so far we have not encountered anyone else using the pool at the same time as ourselves. A nice waterfall at one end of the pool with the pool bar located at the other.

Bedroom - the bedroom alone would be a stunning hotel suite. its absolutely huge again approximate 8m x 10m on plan. I can lie across the bed outstretched toe to the tip of my fingers and i still cant reach the edge. i'm a five foot 7 shorty. so guessing its somewhere between 6.5 to 7 foot wide. Theres also a couple of sofas and provision for a full spa treatment.

Bathroom - his and hers sinks, boat sized bath, monsoon shower . nice finishes and we can watch tv while in the bath as there is no wall between bathroom and bedroom....honeymooners :)

Service - one word. Phenomenal. Call up for anything and they bring the item to your door within minutes...all with a smile and asking if there is anything else they can help with. Ask for help with bookings, shuttle buses, breakfast, anything asked for is not forgotten like it can be in hotels the world over...not here its always remembered.

Breakfast - we've had breakfast in the villa for the last 2 days running. fruit, rice, curry, eggs, bread, you want it you've got it (copyright from a well known burger chain). No more having breakfast in the restaurant as we love the experience of having breakie brought to us, bang on time as well. did i say this place was good?

Restaurant - food is above average and service is once again very good. A dinner is included for every night we stay at the villa or an airport transfer trip.

Little things like beach bags and towels are provided, chocolates in the evening, internet, 2 big tvs, curtains drawn every evening and many other things make this a truly memorable place to have the good fortune to stay.

From the both us to everyone at Baray Villa and especially Ms Or, Kop Koon kup / ka very much for helping to make our honeymoon truly wonderful.

Thank you.

We paid 12500 thb per night which included either dinner, a transfer in / out form the airport every night of our stay. Booked directly through the hotel via phone.

The only one downside is the mossies, they seem to love me. i've been bitten about 20 times in 3 days . The villa is sprayed with mossie killer every night. I've taken the action to spray an entire canister of mossie killer every day with the number of bites abating over the last couple of days.

Room Tip: Splash out on the villa. The rooms we pass by look small. Fair enough at a quarter of the price...

It was for the fourth time that we visted this place. Wonderfull hotel, in a beautifull setting, the staff is very friendly and is offering great service, they made our stay really special. One of the benefits of the villa is the service of a butler. The Sawasdee restaurant has very nice original Thai dishes and a relaxed atmosphere. We will return next year.

We were only able to stay here for one night, however the staff made us feel very at home! The highlight for us - having a spa in the lounge room that leads out to a private pool, then a common pool for all of the villa's, and then a swim up bar. We also enjoyed the footspa's at the end of the bed. These villa's are great to relax and unwind, but we would recommend staying here for more than a one night stay to make full use of the resort and villa's facilities.
