The food was good, especially for the price. The pineapple fried rice with calamari was one of my favorites. I believe that most of the meals were no more that $3 USD.
That being said, I don't expect much for $3, but the least you can do is make sure that your waitstaff is on board with the whole experience. One particular waiter who we will call BugEyes (you'll know him when you see him) was a real a-hole. Not only would he mess orders up all the time, but he was a total jerk when the order had to be corrected. The way he spoke to my wife was completely uncalled for, and it resulted in us having a "private conversation" out back. Compared to how absolutely lovely the Thai people are, BugEyes really stood out. I don't think I've ever stiffed a waiter, but this guy was an exception. He was very close to being served a knuckle sandwich for lunch.
If you are lucky and are served by one of the other waitstaff, you will be in for a very reasonable lunch with great beach views and casual atmosphere. I would recommend however, going next door to Ska Bar. The food is better and staff is cool. You'll pay a little more for it, but it's worth it IMO.
