A superb family run restaurant where your food is cooked in the restaurant. Great, traditional Thai food served by the youngest waiter in Thailand. If only there were Thai restaurants of this price and quality in London.
Possibly the best restaurant in Kata.

Went pass this tiny restaurant located at a bend of the road. Run by a friendly Caucasian together with a local chef. The food was really authentic and delicious. My girlfriend and i went back for a second night for our stay in kata. The ambience was cozy and nice and the staff are very friendly. Would definitely go back again if I'm in phuket!

We were staying in a hotel which wasn't too far from Red Duck, having passed it on our way to the beach, I looked it up on TA and saw it had favourable reviews, so we gave it a go for lunch one day.

We never saw the owner, when we were there we were served and cooked for by what seemed like a local family. The restaurant is right off the street and more like a street kitchen than a restaurant - you can see this from the pictures people have uploaded so check those out if you want to manage your own expectations.

We tried the green curry and tom yum goong and both were really nice - I found a lot of places in Phuket really toned down the spice for tourists, but here the tom yum goong was nice and spicy. It was also really good value.

Overall, a good place to go for lunch, no frills, good food and good value.

We have been there several times. Had delicious food, hard to find in touristic Kata.

It is not expensive (rice is included, so surcharge), refined, and nice to have also Italian dishes well made.

But, we also had some visits, when the boss is not around, and not cooking himself, that we were a bit dissapointed. As we stayed a month in Kata, we just drove through, when we saw he was not there. When he cooked, things were fine, exept once. Very important to let him know what your tollerance is for spicy food! If you like taste, and he not know, THEN it can be a bit blend.

What is sure, he is a real trained cook, and is capable to make the best Thai food for you. He told us, that sometimes it is not easy, because some tourists ask for not too spicy and then he can not always make it the way he should.
