“Serenity behind the walls”
Reviewed 1 May 2014

Just spent 4 nights at Sawasdee Village. Two adults, two teenagers. Fantasic location tucked away within walking distance to shops. We were able to venture out daily for massages, food and shopping without the need of a tuk tuk or taxi. Perfect. I have no desire to travel to other countries to stay in accomodation similar to my home country. Sawasdee Village itself is authentic Thai style. The breakfasts are great, with a wide variety of thai and also more traditional western foods to choose from. The pool was crystal clear and a piece of paradise. Staff are friendly and over all the whole experience met all our expectations. Will highly recomend to others

After spending a week in Hong Kong, we moved on to this hotel in Thailand and were not disappointed. A truly wonderful hotel that is second to none. It is beautiful and the staff are exceptional. An absolute pleasure to also eat there too in the restaurant. The hotel and food was fantastic. There is so much to do in this hotel spa with the pool too that you do not really need to go out at all....a really beautiful and lush tropical paradise setting hotel.

We stayed in Room 125 and my only negative is that we could not open the bottom of our wardrobe as the chest near it was too close to the doors. However, they supply you with umbrellas (must be for monsoon season that starts in May and ends in a few months later around October) we had no rain - 94 degrees hot and sunny for a whole week we were staying there. They also provide flip flops plus robes in your rooms and the room is cleaned and beds made every single day.

The staff turn your bed down every night and then spray mosquito repellant in your rooms. The staff also cover your bed with the gorgeous mosquito nets and the ambience is wonderful.

We stayed for 8 days and it was e very nice decorated Hotel Area. Quiet and not far from busy Kata Beach. The Hotel Staff was very friendly and everything was mostly perfect. The only thing the Hotel is about 15 minutes from Kata Beach but this Beach is full of people so we perfered to stay in pool at hotel or make a trip to Koh Phi Phi, Koh Pangna or Koh Similan.Last was great fro snorkling.

Our 5th trip to Sawasdee Village with a few friends. Cant wait till the next time. Staff excellent, Thai atmosphere as soon as you enter the village. If you get the opportunity try and spend a night in the Barray Villas. Costs a bit extra but worth every cent.

Room Tip: All rooms are small but good. ( you don't spend all day in there so enjoy the pool). Barray Vil...

My husband and two of our friends stayed here with us last week and this was the highlight of your trip. The staff go to the exceptional lengths to make this place just a little bit special, down to supplying mosquito repellent (which was needed given the water ways).

Yes the rooms are small, but they are lovely, tastefully decorated and comfortable beds. This was the perfect place to finish our Thailand holiday- now I just want to go back. The restaurant is lovely, the staff are exceptional and the food is delicious,. We will be back for sure!

The only downside is that there is no fitness centre!

Room Tip: The pool rooms are the best
