The resort is on a steep hillside so the views from the rooms are beautiful. We had a lovely, spacious and comfortable room on the top floor. Quite a few steps to climb, so not for the unfit! Lovely split-level pool area, never crowded during our stay. The staff are very courteous and helpful. Buffet style breakfast in the open dining room was fine, but we hardly saw anyone having lunch or dinner here during our stay, probably due to the much more varied and cheaper options nearby. There is direct access to the beach down steep steps through the jungle, but at the bottom you must cross a foul-smelling stream, although it almost disappears at low tide. There is a lovely little beach bar/restaurant at the end nearest the resort, but the beach becomes more crowded the further along you go.
Just one big negative to the accommodation. There was a very large and very thin connecting door between our room and next door. Luckily our neighbours were relatively quiet, but even so we could hear every word plus the TV. If your neighbours have screaming kids and watch loud TV all night this could seriously spoil a holiday and is a major design fault in an otherwise pleasant resort.More
