This was just the most AMAZING place, I don't know where to start! Stunningly beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Gorgeous rooms and décor, clean, cosy, quirky just amazing. We made good use of the hot tub, were made to feel ever so welcome. Had dinner in the barn which was so beautiful I genuinely was taken aback! Stunningly done, everything from delicious food, hot water bottles and blankets by an open fire, I really can't recommend this place enough. This may not be the most articulately written piece, but I really can't put into words how fabulous this place is in every way!!!

My family and I spent a week last summer at Lower Barn, the week was filled with laughs, cosy nights, met louds of great people and memories we'll all keep for ever. The food was varied and delicious, the accommodations offered more than just cleanliness but meticulous attention to detail and carefully designed interior/exteriors, landscaped gardens, you could see the love that went into every brick and mortar.
If you want to have a great time in Cornwall, I would highly recommend the experience. 10/10

Popped down to Cornwall for one night away and found Lower Barn via Laterooms and then read the reviews on here. Mike and Janie were as wonderful as everyone has already said. We stayed in The Hideaway which is a wonderful room with a roll top bath on its own in the garden, so when Mike says the two new rooms he is building are going to be even more special we are keen to go back. I also highly recommend dinner in the shack - words can't quite describe the experience but it was truly memorable. Finally breakfast was amazing - all in all a stunning place.

If you like something different to the norm, with quality in everything from the rooms, beds, bedding, food, this is the place for you.
Janie & Mike are superb hosts, making everyone feel so welcome & obviously love what they do.
Eating in the hut is a must! We enjoyed this so much we are working out how we can build our own! (Sorry J & M for pinching your idea & thanks to O & E for making it a great night!)
Can't wait to go back next year (when the new rooms are ready) with all our friends in tow.
Thanks for a great stay x

We wanted somewhere within easy reach of the Eden Project and the Lower Barn popped up on laterooms. We had a few problems locating it initially and had to abandon Google Maps and just use the directions on their own website but got there in the end.
In the end it was well worth the slight detour! Our room was simply lovely, with a little sunroom and a really comfortable bed with good quality linen. There was a modern flat screen TV, DVD player, proper ground coffee and fresh milk, something many larger hotels could emulate.
Breakfast around the communal table was good with fruit, cereal and smoked salmon on offer as well as the more traditional full English. On Mike's suggestion we had dinner in the local pub in St Ewe which was pretty good and almost ended up joining the weekly pub quiz.
Janie and Mike were friendly and helpful and we were sorry we didn't have a longer stay...

We found this delightful B&B by chance and were blown away by the high standard.
The room was spacious and very well decorated with creative, romantic and thoughtful touches.
There was a lounge area in the room with a good size TV and DVD. The bed was very comfortable and we had a great night’s sleep in this idyllic location.
The room and breakfast were of a better standard than some 5* hotels we have stayed in.
The owners are very friendly and helpful. They have obviously worked very hard to offer such high standard of accommodation. - Well Done and thank you !
