If you look for great location, comfort, family feel, elegance and great value for money, look no further. You have found your perfect hotel!

We stayed in Sifnos for two weeks and we had friends staying in equally rated hotels. When we saw them, we felt so lucky to be at Niriedes! Very close friends of ours, who know the island very well, had booked the hotel for us and we are so thankful to them as it was a great, relaxing holiday.

We had a family room the first week, since we were travelling with our two young children. Our bedroom, with a magnificent sea and pool view, was confining with the children's one. It was great to have so much space; hotels often sell family rooms as one bigger room with added beds. Not the Niriedes. We had a very nice patio, where we admired the sun setting over the bay every evening.

Breakfast was magnificent: all fresh food (a lot of it) and delicious pastries come directly from the owner's family's patisserie. The hotel has also recently developed a very healthy lunch menu, which came very handy for us and the kids when, tired of the sun, were back from the sea, hot and hungry. A dive in their small but perfectly kept pool and we were ready to eat in their stunning terrace which almost "floats" on the sea. Their yoghurt with fruit and honey is the best of the ones I ever tried in Greece.

The second week we moved to the suite and it was such a pleasant surprise for us! The standard was extremely high. We would say that the room we were in would deserve to be rated as 5 star and listed in the "small luxury hotels of the world" index. We travelled a lot in our life and were lucky enough to see a lot of nice hotels. We were therefore very surprised to have - for 300€ - a huge apartment, extremely well decorated, with flat screen satellite TV, a fully equipped kitchenette and - last but not least - a stunning roof terrace which had two sun beds and a dinner table for 6! You would pay 3 times that price and more if you wanted the same type of room at the Elounda Beach in Crete!

The hotel overlooks the bay from a hill set at the end of a long bay. Do not let this put you off however, since there are only 60 steps to the beach and they are very worthwhile when you then get back to such a nice hotel. Thanos, the hotel manager, is a very professional and accurate person who always got back to any request within minutes. He and his staff looked after every detail and - apart from a tricky shower's door - I could not fault anything.

The island surprised us too. We only went to Sifnos because of our friends being there with other friends. We never heard of it before. It is a very pretty island with beautiful shops, restaurants and the transparent greek sea. We were only disappointed by how unwell they keep their beaches. Walking on the beach without stepping on a cigarette butt was almost impossible. And that is a shame.

We would go back only if Thanos could books us in the suite we have been to. It is worth the trip, being able to almost float inbetween the sea and the sky again.

The hotel is small, few rooms (different one from the other), nice terrace, friendly and helpful staff. Bedrooms are very spacious, clean, well furnished, with nice tiny terrace. The breakfast is unforgettable (fresh pastry, local cheese, eggs, fruit, yougurt...)

We stayed here in September 2007 during a 2 week trip around the Cyclades islands. On arrival at Niriedes, we were surprised and delighted with what we found. The rooms were very large and well laid out, and the view from the balcony was spectacular. The pool is small, but lovely, and the beach is just down the hill anyway. The room included breakfast, and it was one of the nicest I have had, outdoors on the terrace overlooking the bay. This hotel is immaculately clean, and very well run. I enjoyed every moment in this hotel, and will definitely be returning.

We stayed in the Niriedes Hotel as part of our Honeymoon to Greece. It was by far the nicest hotel we stayed in. The breakfast was fantastic, the rooms were very large and were very well layed out,. Although we ate out every night, it would have been possible to cook a simple meal in the little kitchen. My husband and I had a nice chat with the owner, whom I believe lives at the hotel with his family. He was very nice, helpful and polite. When our pre-arranged taxi called a few hours becfore we were to be picked up and brought to port tosay he couldn't come on time, the owner convinced the guy to come early so we wouldn't be stranded. I would love to go back to Sifnos some day and spend a week at this lovely hotel instead of just three days.
