We stayed here about 15 years ago and loved the charm and setting so were pleased that it has not lost any of its character. If you want an authentic French experience this is it. Lovely quiet garden overlooking a river where we sat relaxing on our arrival. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Excellent evening meal. We had the a la carte as three of us do not eat meat and the set menu was not suitable but seeing what the other diners had it all looked very good value and plenty of it. Breakfast was waitress service and excellent. Will definitely return.

Room Tip: All the rooms are different and overlook the garden so take pot luck

We hoped this would be a good place to stay and we were not disappointed. After settling into our room we sat by the river in the beautiful gardens and relaxed totally after a day's drive. The room was comfortable and had a balcony overlooking the garden; so peaceful. Our meal was superb! My entrée was Crème Brulee St Jacques; imaginative and delicious and I gather the Foie Gras Maison was excellent too. Our mains of Rognons de veau and Tournedos Rossini were very good. We were comfortably full so concluded with a coffee. I should also mention that the mousse served with our aperos and the sorbet with Calvados were worth going back for on their own! Service was courteous and timely. Anyone looking for a comfortable stay in a traditional Normandy French setting should look no further. The only observation I would make is that the restaurant is closed all day on Mondays and at lunch time on Tuesday and Wednesdays so avoid those times or be prepared. Oh and I forgot to say that there is a lovely elderly dog, a couple of cats that really know how to chill out and a chatty parrot. Breakfast in the conservatory was one of the best we have had - with lovely local produce.

A wonderful place with a dining room with a lot of character.
The food : a total delight !
We enjoyed the whole dinner with the high point, the apotheosis: "le soufflé au Grand Marnier" as a dessert : huge and so tasty.
We are very much looking forward to come back to auberge du clos normans as soon as we can.

It was a very disappointing experience. The grounds are really lovely and very peaceful and relaxing. The bedrooms on the other hand, although they looked great were very impractical. The double bed was extremely small, the lighting was terrible and the loo wouldn't flush properly.

We were very much looking forward to our dinner but it proved to be 'more style than substance'.
The menus sounded delicious but the actual food was heavy and unimaginative and the service was poor.

It was a very pretty village and there was a lovely little restaurant opposite where we had lunch which was excellent - a shame it was closed in the evenings.

Close enough to Dieppe for first or last night before making the ferry closing. The Auberge is in a small village and appears to be a amalgamation of several houses, very tastefully up-dated and fitted out in a very appealing style. The restaurant is superb and must be booked in advance as it is very popular with non residents. This auberge was found in the Logis guide. Regret we could only stay one night .

Room Tip: All rooms overlook the garden, which leads down to the river terrace.
