Stayed here for two nights on a short break in Norfolk ... owner Daniel was very welcoming, came out to greet us every time we came back to the b&b and was very friendly and chatty, room was fine and very private, cooked breakfasts were lovely, parking was great, he opened the pool for us, as an alternative to the local travel lodge 5 minutes down the road would completely prefer this, find it hard to understand why anyone is negatively reviewing this place. For the price well worth it.

The owners & staff go above and beyond expectations to ensure everything is comfortable & accomodate to your every need.

The surroundings make your stay even more relaxing, we were blessed with wonderful weather & sat in the vast gardens to watch the deer & rabbits play.

The spa facilites are lovely, we had full exclutivity which just makes your stay even more special for any occasion.

the rooms are spacious & comfortable.

It is excellent value for money

Good spa and swimming pool, combined with B&B accommodation. We were upgraded to the minisuite, the facilities were good as were our first impressions. However, the room was very musty and the accommodation we were in would benefit from a spring clean, the shower had flaking paint for instance and the cigarette stubber outside was full. The rooms were cleaned adequately, but a deep clean would help. The breakfast (extra for a cooked breakfast) was good and Danny, the proprietor, was friendly and helpful. If these details were rectified then Aldercarr Hall would well deserve its four star status.

Didn't like the fact it was not sign post to which door to go to when you have parked. Then opening the door to the spa you see tables in the hall people in dressing gowns having nails done instead of being in a room. Staff were very nice, had a body massage they were very good but the music was too loud and not relaxing... And there was no chairs to put your clothes on had to lay my stuff on dirty floor not a place I want my under garments to be.. Also after got to use sauna and pool etc people's clothes and valuables laying around not enough lockers and where you had a swim people would walk through with out door shoes on and you were in bear feet :( not 100% needs to be up dated a bit more..

It was a good job that I did not read the reviews before staying here as they would have likely put me off. Firstly, let me say that there must be a number of professional moaners or really miserable people who have stayed recently. We had to stay local to Hingham in order to get a relative to Norwich hospital for treatment and Danny the proprietor could not have been more helpful. The room at the rear of the patio was clean and comfortable with the usual tray of drinks etc. and a bed that gave us two nights good sleep. Danny asked us what time we wanted breakfast and we said 8.30, no problem, which gives a lie to a reviewer who said you couldn't have breakfast before 9.00. The full english cooked breakfast was on an huge plate and simply excellent! Danny was a lovely fella whose company we enjoyed and had many a laugh with him
during our stay. Thoroughly recommend!!

Room Tip: Rooms ar rear facing courtyard are fine

Only stayed 1no.night bed & breakfast,a warm comfortable room on a cold wet night,at this family-run hotel. A real gem in the country-side. Ideal base if visiting Norfolk, first class freshly cooked breakfast (full english). Will certainly have a longer stay on next visit. Plenty of parking area within the grounds

Room Tip: I would think any room that was available would be more than acceptable

We stayed at Aldercarr Hall for a couple of days following a family funeral and are so pleased we chose to stay here...Danny and Denise the owners are lovely, very friendly, warm and helpful without being "in your face"....Denises breakfasts were to die for (proper traditional full english and lots of it!!!) and Danny was fab bringing us as much tea and toast to accompany it as we wanted .We stayed in room number 3, next door to the spa and it was lovely, very cosy and warm, clean , tidy and comfy bed.Bathroom was absolutely fine too.We went for a swim in the indoor pool, it was lovely as it was a friday afternoon and we were the only ones there (apart from the wonderfully friendly Beautician Hannah who literally couldnt do enough for us while we were there...so Hi to the lovely Hannah and Vicky from us ;-))...there is also a decent sized jacuzzi and small sauna there too.In summary, we had a wonderful, relaxing stay and it felt like we were in the company of old friends rather than "proprieters"....we will definitely be returning again in the summer as the patio area /gardens would be perfect to sunbathe on and then pop back in for a dip in the pool-bliss!!!!We wholeheartedly recommend a stay at Aldercarr Hall, go with an open mind, a good attitude and you will have a lovely stay in this very unique place....thanks to all of you, Berni and Darren..xxxxx

Room Tip: rooms 3 and 4 overlook the patio/gardens and are right next to the pool and spa area...
