I strongly contest the 4* rating.
1. All was fine at arrival. Lady owner was friendly and offered advice about local tourism.
2. Room seemed slightly on the shabby side. Some marks and dust on the sink and trays. No welcome pack in the room.
3. Man owner was not at all helpful when we sought directions to local attractions.
4. Returned at night and enquired about breakfast only to be told by half naked man owner that "you didnt book it. There is no one to make it."
To say I am shocked is an understatement. I can ignore the lack of info pack that I am used to in other b&bs, but at no time was I informed that breakfast needed to be booked. It is not mentioned on their website, which is where I made the booking - all that is said is there is english and continental (charges may apply).
Seriously, the pool requires payment, the jacuzzi is available when beauty rooms are open (no further info provided re room opening) - this whole b&b is just a pet project for these amateurs.

1 star for the warm welcome. 1 star for the clean looking towels. Otherwise complaints re lack of info for chargeable services, general state of the room, no toiletries, service.

Room Tip: You will probably be placed in the patio rooms. Enjoy the sound of running water all night.

Recently stayed in Aldercarr Hall whilst visiting Norfolk for the BTCC. Instantly made to feel very welcome by the hosts, it was like being invited to stay as a friend, rather than paying guests.

The hosts could not have have been any nicer, very friendly and attentive, made a delicious breakfast and catered to the culinary requests of 4 year old brilliantly.

Location was idyllic in the countryside, very peaceful and relaxing with the hot tub and swimming pool facilities.

Room was a good size, clean with fresh linen very in keeping with the decor of the house, very suitable for two adults and a small child.

Only stayed for one night but would quite happily stay for longer if required.

No hesitation in recommending this place.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Aldcarr Hall. Its the most unique place we have stayed in (and we travel a lot). The rooms are not located in the house but at the rear of the property with their own front door and all look out onto a courtyard and fields. Its really peaceful and whilst we were there, they had deer running about.

We were staying there as we were attending Snetterton circuit and its only 3 miles away so its perfect for travelling back and forth.

The rooms were clean, towels changed daily, plenty tea and coffee, plenty storage space for clothes etc. Beds were really comfy and we both slept great, its so peaceful and you dont hear anyone else in the other rooms.

Breakfast was excellent and Danny and Denise were briliant hosts. We cant wait to return next year.

Room Tip: All rooms have a good location

Just home from a 3-night stay at Aldercarr Hall. This place is a total gem and is a family run, peaceful, friendly hotel in a really excellent location to explore Norwich and the surrounding area. Our room was located on the terrace just across from the spa facilities and we looked out on to a meadow where deer and rabbits roam. Denise and Danny are excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble.

I would highly recommend this hotel and the Spa. It offers superb value and genuine comfort and service. We will definitely be staying here again.

Only booked in for one night, but would happily return for longer.

Rooms were immaculate and "sparkled" with white towels and bed linen. Host was welcoming and very pleasant and location for our purposes was spot on. Didn't use spa facilities but they looked clean and welcoming.

Highly recommended for any families looking for accommodation, reasonably priced, in Attleborough area.

Room Tip: We went for superior rooms, which were not a lot more money

Upon arrival my wife and I was greeted by the owner who was very pleasant and shown to our room, the room was very spacious and clean, while settling in I asked the owner if there was an Indian restaurant near by and if he had a number for a local taxi company, the owner insisted on taking us into the town himself and showed us where we could eat and drink, what a lovely person and I would definitely stay here again and looking forward to returning later in the year. The full English breakfast is at an additional cost but well worth it as it was a superb breakfast and a great start to the day, thanks again for a lovely evening at a lovely place. Mr & Mrs Betts.

We stayed here for two nights, we were watching the racing at snetterton, we found the owners to be helpful, pleasant and down to earth. It was like a home from home.the room was clean the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was lovely (we paid extra for full English) We were telephoned a few days before our stay to be asked if we would require a full English breakfast as this is not included in the price, you have the choice to pay extra or have the continental breakfast which is included, to us this made good sense as not everyone likes a cooked breakfast. We would defiantly stay again.
