I booked a table for 4, sort of a belated fathers day out. The plan was to visit somewhere none of us had eaten.
All of us opted for the traditional Sunday roast despite some attractive alternatives. We all had skipped starters in order to find room for a homemade pudding. The pub had entered the taste of Dorset competition so the quality was understandably high. Roast potatoes cooked with goose fat, well nothing short of amazing. A very satisfying meal!
Puddings were homemade and decent sized, all very tasty. 2 real ale choices at the bar kept well. All good reasons to visit again.
It is hard to find reason to fault the pub but one small niggle was the access. My father found it a bit tricky trying to negotiate the door in mobility scooter but please don't let it put you off.
A friendly welcome awaits you from the happy team.
