Had an amazing family meal last night. The food was beautifully cooked across the variety of meals we ordered. The salmon and risotto was so tasty and just the right amount so I could enjoy my pudding. A fabulous festive start to Christmas. Thank you to all the staff at the pub.

Lovely inn in a delightful small village. Simon and Maria made us feel very much at home. We stayed in the Hardy room, which was spacious and comfortable. Everything was spotless. Dinner in the inn was excellent- best steak and ale pie of our entire trip through the south of England. We would definitely stay there again if in the area.

Well, what can I say. I don't often feel compelled to review hotels, but we've had such a lovely stay I felt it deserved sharing. A great little country pub! Spotlessly clean, wonderful food, a spacious, comfortable well equipped room, and staff that couldn't do more to help! We had a flat tyre on the Sunday morning, and were invited to use the owners phone whilst they put the kettle on. It's little things like that, which make you feel truly welcome and that your custom is appreciated. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the local area. And the fillet steak cooking on a granite block at the table was marvellous. :)

I suspect 99.9% of British people have never heard of Chetnole, but if you say an hour west of Salisbury, some will have a rough notion where it is. Regardless, Chetnole Inn is a small, older inn with tastefully decorated bedrooms and a pleasant dining area serving very good food. The surrounding country is often beautiful. The couple who own the Inn are friendly and helpful. We had only one night here, but wished we had longer.

This was the most beautiful and brilliant two nights away we've had. Thank you to Maria and Simon for a fantastic time. This fantastic Inn b and b, is a must for any traveller who is exploring Dorset.
