My wife and I have just returned from a two night stay at this lovely village pub. We were greeted on arrival by Maria the landlady and made to feel welcome from the start. The rooms are upstairs but many offers to help take luggage upstairs for us. The room was large with a very comfortable bed - tea and coffee plus water and biscuits and all the things you need to make life easy. This is a very friendly pub the staff are friendly and the locals help make the atmosphere. We had breakfast both mornings and there was a good range of hot or cold food on offer. Nothing was too much trouble.
We also had evening meal and once again could not fault the food or service.
This pub is a proper village meeting point with walkers and all types of people using it.
At the end of the evening you could hear the furniture being moved around from our room but it was only for a few minutes while clearing up and setting for breakfast.
I would certainly go back for a further stay .
There is also a beer garden.More
