“Now a fish and chip restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 December 2013 via mobile

Now reopened as the Big Fish - takeaway or dine in . It's licensed too. This is superb fish and chips with ample portions and friendly cheerful staff . In a contest with the winner of the best fish and chips in Scotland ( in Stonehaven ) this place would win by a mile !

“Christmas meal at The Bridge Inn Saxilby”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 December 2012

Just came home from a Christmas meal which cost £80 for the two of us. This was two prawn cocktails, two roast dinners two lemon cheesecakes and two G & T's.
The decor was just about Christmassy, but only just, the piped music was pop and rap, the service nonchalant with someone wandering around dressed in jeans, and everything carried by hand with no tray service. It was freezing cold in the restaurant, the radiators were off and the fires in the pub barely lit. My partner asked for a tea, and I asked for coffee. No tea-bags were left apparently, and we were offered a mince pie, which was picked for us, and one of the teaspoons offered was filthy. Needless to say, we will not be going back !!
