Basic, small & clean bungalows not far from the beach & Jaguar Rescue center
Very friendly & helpful owners (= lost luggage, trips,...)
Good breakfast and a lovely garden...
Good restaurant nearby (La Pecora Nera)

We really enjoyed our 2 nights!

Neg. = chaired refrigerator, no airco, small swimming pool, shower hot/cold

What a wonderfull place to feel comftable and close to home. The bungalows are really nice and unique, if you looking for a real jungle exprerience, get one of the casa's. Bute its not only that the houses are really nice, your host, Jessica & Marc make everything to make you feel comftable. It starts with a wonderfull breakfast in the morning that they cook only in the way you like it. It goes on with helping you in every moment you need information or anything. And it makes it perfect with a special kind of connection to their guest, that make you feel like a friend in this house. we wished we could have stayed longer.

Room Tip: We stayed first in a bugalow who are really nice, all with A/C, Van and TV and a Terrace with hamhoc...

There is absolutely not another place better than this one in Costa Rica.
Kind and sweet people; so cosy atmosphere, nice place and so great pina colada...

Jessica & Mark are just 2 lovely people always ready to help or suport you with a huge smile and spontaneous spirit.

If you go to Puerto Viejo stay there but..don't tell this place to your friend and keep it for you it's so great

Room Tip: Take la Casita

We were all booked to stay in this lovely place, but had to cancel at the last minute as my husband dislocated his elbow playing hockey. Only in Canada!

Jessica promptly refunded our deposit and sent kind words of a speedy recovery our way.

When we do finally make it to Costa Rica in a year or so, this will be our first reservation.
Thanks Jessica and Marc!

Area is very beautiful and laid back, nothing commercial. Jessica and Mark work very hard to make your stay enjoyable and will provide you with all the tour, restaurant, beach information you need. We stayed in 3 bedroom bungalow. Perfect for a large group (we had 5). Expansive verandas, lovely views, nice small kitchen. I would best describe as 60s funky which is an apt description for whole area. There is no a/c in some bungalows but fine before the heat settle in. Highly recommend.

First things first - Jessica's coconut french toast... hello! So good. This place was great. Marc gave us a whole bunch of tips on things to do, places to eat, etc. Breakfast each morning was delicious and always different. Our bungalow was precious, tucked away amongst beautiful vegetation and nights were always quiet. Room was on the small side but very cozy. Shower took some getting used to - hot cold hot cold hot cold - but who cares! You're in paradise! ;) Beware of mosquitoes, we exterminated a few but had a mosquito net for the bed which helped us sleep more soundly. Our bungalow was guarded securely by several decent sized spiders and their webs. The pool looked awesome but we didn't go in. Just sitting at their bar & staring at it was good enough for us! Pretty close to the beach and some restaurants. Lots of people ride bikes but we had a car, great for driving into town. That would have been too far of a walk. They have bikes on their property but I guess they're all broken so Marc suggested we ask the bike rental place around the corner... we just took the car. Overall, we'd stay there again for sure.
