Stayed two nights four years ago and the hotel is as good as ever.
Comfortable rooms with bath and tea making facilities. Excellent dinner with inexpensive wines, good breakfast and genial host - what more could you want!

Room Tip: The rooms across the courtyard are large except for the ones upstairs on the right.

We stayed one night here as all hotels in Chablis seemed full, and this one had rooms and good TA reports. Our room had twin beds as their doubles are only 140cm. It was very cold in the room and no radiators were on. It was only late at night as I was rummaging for another blanket that I noticed an airconditioner, which happily produced some warmth. It would have been nice had we been told that this was the case when given the key. The room was original and very spacious and clean. As the internet coverage en route on my phone was dismal, I was unable to book it online and told the patron so. He was pleased that we hadn't, but I did expect that at least he would match the booking.com tariff, but we were charged the full amount which was 10 euros in excess of booking.com. We had dinner in the restaurant of the hotel and for that alone I'd return. It was wonderful, and I loved the atmosphere of a familial dining room. There is a choice of fixed price menus and I happened to have the 20.50 one, which included an entree of the most divine snails that I have ever eaten.
We took breakfast, as we were keen to get going but I think 11 euros is a bit steep for a continental breakfast.
All in all, a nice stopover, but book online beforehand if you can.

nicely extended hotel with lots of nice new rooms added sympathetically to a very old building. Good food, very quiet location/village. Perhaps a trifle "stuffy" in the dining room, but this may be a Burgundy feature. highly recommended.

We stayed for one night, wished we'd stayed longer, and are looking forward to going back. A warm welcome (in excellent English) from M. le Patron, an excellent room with efficient aircon (worth paying the extra for a superior room, I think). Tea- and coffee-making facilities in the room, but no milk. Odd, that. Dinner was marvellous - we were given a set of fixed price menus, although there were a la carte options if one asked. The wine was excellent, and very reasonably priced - we bought a case from the producer the next day! We had an good night's sleep in a comfortable bed and a lovely breakfast.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for a Superior room.

We went to the Relais for dinner with friends whilst staying in the area.

We had an excellent meal and there was plenty of choice on the menu. The food was excellent and was accompanied by some very good local wines. The service was also good.
