“A cornucopia of delight”
Reviewed 15 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

A delightful week spent in the Dick Turpin highlighted its multitude of wonderful features. Inside it is extremely spacious with everything one could possibly need for a stay. The facilities are very modern and comfortable and are set in a decor that is the most marvellously eclectic and varied that we have experienced. Outside the cottage is set on the side of a hill with magnificent views and a large garden and wood behind it . We greatly enjoyed walking through the extensive path networks in the woods to the top of the hill. Roger, our host, was extremely kind and the starter pack was the most generous that we have encountered in any stay anywhere. A great place to stay!

“Fantastically peaceful, luxury retreat”
Reviewed 11 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Everything here is a very high standard, and meets my two most important criteria for a holiday retreat. Comfortable bed and really quiet, so you get a good night’s sleep. It's not in a group of cottages, so there was zero noise from neighbours, not overlooked by another property, nor close to a road with traffic. Good speed wifi. It's a great base for a walking holiday. Roger is a friendly and generous host. We were so impressed, that within a week of being back, we’ve already booked to stay again in 2016. This is a first for a pair of fussy travellers like us!

“Wonderful holiday caottage”
Reviewed 24 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Since my husband and I are travelling the UK for over 15 years, always staying in holiday cottages, we are quite experienced in this form of holidaying. Although we always stay in so called luxury cottages we never encountered a cottage which was so cosy, tasteful and suberbly equipped as The Dick Turpin Cottage. Full marks also for the peaceful location in the Shropshire Hills and the friendliness of the owners. We certainly shall come again!

It was very special to receive such wonderful comments from a couple with
huge experience at the top end of the self catering market. We do try very hard
to go the "extra" mile to ensure our guests really enjoy their time in Clun
Again many thanks

We had a wonderful time. The cottage was really comfortable and well-equipped. It was spotless and very welcoming. On arrival, we found a couple of bottles of wine and a basketful of goodies, as well as breakfast stuff in the fridge. There's some fantastic walking and the locals are very friendly.

“A stylish place with luxury treatment”

A sweeping drive up to the house and nearby cottage is an appropriate way to approach this wonderful place. It indicates that it is something a little different. When you arrive and turn round the view across the Shropshire hills is equally spectacular.
Inside the cottage was well equipped spotlessly clean with beautiful fresh flowers plants and orchids in every room.
The kitchen has everything that you need if you intend to cook and the welcome hamper with wine and champagne makes sure your first evening in luxury goes down well. Good information and guide lines on what to see and where local restaurants inns and cafes are available in the information provided or from the owners who are a source of helpful information. A pity we were only there for a week it was not long enough

“Quirky, clean, comfortable and blissfully quiet cottage”
Reviewed 23 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

The Dick Turpin cottage is amazing. We spent a week at this beautifully appointed, well equipped, clean and comfortable cottage and didn't want to leave :-( Everything you could possibly want for a self catering holiday is provided together with a scrummy welcome pack. There is so much to do and see in the area but be prepared to stretch your calf muscles as some of the walks are incredibly steep! If the weather is not conducive to being out and about, or you just want to relax, the cottage has enough entertainment to keep you amused from HiFi in every room to DVDs and puzzles. There are also two outside seating areas where you can sit, relax and listen to the blissful quiet ................ :-)

The Dick Turpin Cottage near Clun, is the most glorious place for your holiday. It is luxuriously equipped and furnished by the owners who have thought of every last detail,. On arrival, local fresh produce welcomes guests, along with beautiful flowers and plants throughout .The cottage is situated in the stunning Shropshire hills, ideal for walking or visiting local attractions or for travelling further afield. We travelled almost 300 miles for our two week holiday which co-incided with the hottest weeks this year. The owner most considerately provided an additional fan to help us stay comfortable, just one example of the care we received throughout our stay. Once there, you will not want to leave !
