Went to Bluewater on Saturday and thought a long time before trying this restaurant again. Over a year ago we were here and the spinach was no longer fresh but frozen. My ravioli was soaked in water instead of butter and the salad on the side to the fried chicken was barely there. The bill is always around 30 pounds no matter what we order; a lot for us for lunch maybe not for others. But there IS a recession out here. So, we tried ordering the ravioli again and the starter squid. The squid arrived; they are frozen. The ravioli arrived: sitting under the heat lamp too long and were coagulated mush. I sent it back. It returned looking a little wetter but again; tasteless, congealed. Carlucchio is no longer here; he left a few years ago. He is only here in name only so don't get caught up with celebrity. It doesn't exist. Jamie Oliver has opened up in Bluewater and that is evidently where we were supposed to go but we couldn't get in. Another story.
No longer will Carlucchios get my business. Tired of giving my money to restaurants that just don't care....no matter what some uninformed patrons think.
