We stayed for two nights over the Valentine's weekend with a view to spending time in Stratford. This hotel is well outside of Stratford but benefits from being a lovely location with open views. Lovely public rooms and helpful, friendly staff. Excellent value through Superbreaks which included dinner on the first night. Food was really good and drinks not too overpriced. The gym and pool were nice too and we used both each day. If I was being super critical the changing rooms are too small and with more than two people in very cramped, but it was a nice facility to have. There are two pubs in the village of Ettington - only a short walk away - but both are closed on Sunday nights so if you don't eat in the hotel you are forced to drive - so bear that in mind.

We stayed here for one night and had a very nice time. The room and bathroom was large and spacious and very modern, also very clean. The only downside were the lack of biscuits on the tea tray. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly and everywhere looked very clean and tidy. If I was going to make a slight complaint it would be the restaurant where we had dinner. I think the air conditioning was on (in January) as it was exceptionally cold. We were not offered any bread with our soup I had to ask, we then had to ask for butter for the bread. All in all though very nice stay.

After reading some of the reviews, I was slightly nervous about our pending stay, but I didn't need to worry. The stay from start to finish was fantastic. The location was lovely, the receptionists were friendly and helpful and the room was brilliant. I booked an executive room for my partner's birthday present. We were both really impressed! The spa facilities were also great, especially the jacuzzi. We arrived on a Sunday and luckily it was very quiet, so we were able to relax in the jacuzzi and sauna for quite a while. We also dined in the restaurant for our evening meal and once again, there is nothing negative I can say.

Well worth the money, and would definitely go again!

Receptionist quite pleasant on arrival explained about the facilities available and times etc. Room was very clean and decor was fine.Found bed much too soft there seemed to be a dip in the middle so kept rolling into spouse in middle of bed.
Enjoyed the gym which was nice and quiet on the 3 occasions we visited.Fairly small but did the job . The pool was lovely and warm and very clean. Also relaxed in the jacuzzi which was great. Again there were only about 5 people maximum each time we visited so deffinately not packed which was great.
The breakfast buffet was brilliant again everywhere clean and welcoming.
The evening meal was a dissapointment. Husband had to send his back as looked so dry and unappealing, cous cous was mushy.looked like his meal had been sitting in a saucepan for hours. My meal was just ok, nothing special and not that tasty considering the amount it cost.
Served by several waiters/waitresses not one person asked if everything was ok.
Checking out receptionist was very friendly and chatty which was nice.
Overall loved our weekend only would not have evening meal there again.

We booked lastminute and just wanted a night away to relax. We checked in with no problems, my husband asked for an upgrade which we were given free of charge. Our room was lovely, clean, spacious and very nicely decorated. There were tea/coffee making facilities (but no biccies!). Only thing I would mention is the lights are energy efficient bulbs which take a while to get going so the room seemed a bit dull for a while. Bed was comfy and sheets lovely and white. The bar was nice and welcoming although drinks prices were different with each round!! The restaurant was busy but staff were attentive without being in your face. Food was fab.
The spa was a bit disappointing, not much like the pics on the web.
All in all a great weekend, would go back!
