This is a very large campsite (over 400 pitches) but we there out of season (September), so although it was quite busy it was very peaceful! In true French style each pitch had a small hedge surrounding it which gave some privacy from the neighbouring pitches.
The facilities were excellent - outdoor pool, covered pool, fitness room with sauna, etc, and a takeaway and onsite restaurant. The toilet blocks and showers were fabulous - certainly the best we have encountered abroad. Don't forget to take loo paper with you though - there is none provided in the cubicles!
If you cannot be bothered to cook or to head into nearby Honfleur, the onsite restaurant has a set menu for 16 euros per person which is excellent value for 3 courses with coffee and small carafe of wine.
You can order croissants and baguettes at the reception the evening before for delivery in the morning. All the staff were very helpful and speak English if you run out of French vocabulary!!
As previously stated, beware of the 'No Credit Cards' policy stated in the signs at reception. They (and the restaurant) actually take NO cards at all - not even debit cards, so EVERYTHING is strictly cash here! We were two adults with a VW campervan and electric hook-up and it cost 47.50 euros for the two nights.
Honfleur is a 5minute drive away. It is beautiful and has a huge choice of places to eat. If you don't want a full meal but want to sit by the harbour for a snack, we can recommend Le Perroquet Vert - fab views, excellent friendly service and good food. Also La Corsaire in a little square on the street behind the harbour serves excellent food and is a friendly, family-run restaurant.
The smart resorts of Deauville and Trouville are a short drive along the coast, the very pretty seaside town of Etretat (Monet painted the beach and it's sea arches in the cliffs) is just the other side of Le Havre, and Giverny with Monet's garden is an hour and a half's drive away.
