We had a 2 night stay with family near to the end of our holiday in South Africa. Our room, more like a suite, was wonderful. Spacious and comfortable, separate bath and shower, bedroom and separate sitting room and covered verandahs.
Coffee was delivered to our room at the time we wanted in the morning. There was a full breakfast and then hours of lazing by the pool. We could call from the pool for drinks and anything we wanted for lunch so we weren't disturbed from our pool time. Dinner in the evening was superb and there was an excellent choice of drinks. The sitting and dining rooms are filled with such a quirky mass of paintings and ornaments influenced by England, Africa and India. Such different things juxtaposed and always something new to see.
The place is in the middle of nowhere, down dirt roads, so we had no desire to leave until the final leaving. The grounds are beautiful with an influence of old England, there are several areas - including a pond with black and white swans.
If you are looking for some deep relaxation and good food then this is the place to go. With only something like 7 rooms it would never get really busy but we were pleased that there was only one other small group along with our group of 4.More
