“A Wonderful Retreat”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

We were there during the low season, but it really was as though we were the only people there. Enclosed by high walls, with a private pool - and good cover for when it rained - it was really was a piece of solitude. The room had everything needed; there are a couple of larger pools (and a gym) for the active.
The resort is just a few meters from the beach, with lovely sand to walk on, about as far as you would want.
To eat, go left down the beach for a huge array of places.
One feature to mention was the bath (which is outside)- it was almost bigger than the pool.
The resort is only minutes from the airport (you could walk!), which makes getting there and away easy.

Dear Peter, thank you very much for writing us a positive review. We are glad to read that your stay had been relaxing which was what you were looking for. Nai Yang beach with the national park on half the beach, does provide the tranquility and peace that makes a wonderful retreat, whilst the other half of the beach with the village restaurants, rustic bars, and small shops offer a Thai charm and convenience that appeals to visitors. We are very lucky to be able to offer the best of both world.
Warmest wishes from everyone here, Lillian

We stayed at Dewa for a week. We had a brilliant holiday in Thailand. The resort located in Naiyang Beach which is very closed to Airport, take 5 minutes away. Dewa is allocated to relax. The Beach is very peaceful and quiet. We loved it. Inside the resort area, my son loved a lobby pool so much. We could order a drink to the pool. And the big pool at the building (there have two pools) was very sunny on the day We were. That was quiet good for us. You can catch a shuttle to Patong or Phuket town with a hotel service. Sadly there has only one time a day. Dewa is the lovely resort. Breakfast was not much choice but it was good.
The thai dinner was veryAmazing! Staffs were nice especially Mr. Sun who work at the lobby. I wasn't sure what he work for, a lobby management? We think he is a reception boss man. He was very friendly. We always took a few times for talking with him but it was unfortunate we forgot to ask about his work, I would like to take him to join our resort work. He is genius. I had seen he fixed a problem, he knew how to handle with problem which guest requested. I surely think almost guest in hotel have seen his smile. He always smile, everyone should do and also speak softly. Unfortunately we missed to see Mr. Sun before leaving. My two son would like to say good bye. We love him so much. And Mrs. Jang the lady at reception she present us a thai culture, the lady who clean our room thank you so much. We love Thai people. We love Thailand. We love love love Dewa. Here is the best choice of Nai yang.

I spent 1 night there before heading to patong area. It's really quiet place where you can sleep all tone without any noise or disturb. It's good place for couple who want enjoy the solitude and relax time. This hotel not far from the airport so need to rush while heading there :)). For me I prefer place full of action where many people and interesting places around me, and if u are similar to me then this hotel not for you. It's only 1 night before heading to patong where real action is ;). Over all it's good place and all is clean and quiet..

Thank you for writing us a positive review following your recent one night stay. We are indeed located in a quiet location, great if you are looking for a relaxing holiday, close enough to local restaurants and bars but without the hustle and bustle you would find in Patong. Good place to chill out, after a few nights in Patong, before you fly home too. Maybe we will see you again before you leave Phuket.
Warm regards, Lillian

We have just returned from an 8 day stay at the Dewa Resort Nai Yang. We all enjoyed the holiday immensely and the facilities that the Dewa Resort offered. We had two Junior Suites which were spacious and well appointed - nothing was lacking! We were more than happy with the wide choice available for breakfast each day and have all come home a little heavier than we went. The staff were very helpful and eager to assist wherever they could. We, personally, loved the charm of Nai Yang with local restaurants on the beach and a daily massage available at a very good price. We were made to feel very welcome by the locals and were delighted with the warmth and friendliness shown to us. We would thoroughly recommend Dewa Resort for a very happy, family holiday. The other hightlight of the week was the beautiful hotel cat "Wit' who captured our hearts! Thank you Lillian for "taking him on".

We have just returned from a 10 night stay at DEWA Phuket resort. what a beautiful quiet, relaxing resort to stay at. Perfect for families, rooms very clean and extremely spacious- had everything we needed plus more- very impressive. It was quiet and only a 5 min walk to the nai yang town where there are many yummy restaurants and divine and overwhelmingly friendly massage centres. There is a free bus to Phuket town and other shopping centres- it is about a 40 min drive to Phuket but enjoyed the scenery on the way and love that DEWA was out of the very busy city.... It is close to the airport but did not notice the noise...Best of both worlds really. Loved DEWA what a memorable place to stay filled with gorgeous friendly people who go out of their way to please... Love LOVE LOVED beautiful DEWA resort.- thankyou. !!!

Greetings from Dewa! Thank you very much for your complimentary review of our resort. It is very pleasing to read that our team as well as the local folks in the Nai Yang village had made you feel very welcome. That's the beauty of Thailand, and of course, the other beauty is the Thai food. Hope to welcome you back in the very near future.
Warm wishes, Lillian

We stayed here with our 15 month old son. Airport pick up and drop off was in time - just 5 minute ride. We initially booked a pool villa which is great for a couple(private and relaxing) but was not so safe with our toddler. So we asked them to move us to junior suite which is very spacious and has a big kitchenette and balcony. It was low season, so there were empty rooms and they moved us right away and charged for Junior Suite only.

The resort is nice with beach just across the road, pools are nice with kids pool available. Beach is ok- the stretch right across the hotel is not very clean, but way better than Patong beach. It was very hot in the afternoon, so we also spent quite some time in kids room(which kept my son entertained) and there are a few games for adults(pool, darts, TT) - which was a plus.
Staff is very friendly and responsive. Food in the restaurant is decent. They were able to make vegetarian food as per our request. Breakfast has a good spread, but it is same everyday. Bamboo bar is nice - and good value.

Food options outside the hotel are very limited and more like roadside places next to the beach. There are also a lot of small massage places - they are just ok, with 400bhat messages, and you could bargain. There isnt anything to do outside. If you are looking for a quiet place, its great, if you want to party or visit the town - you shouldnt stay here.

Stayed for 3 nights in early July 2014 in a Private Pool Villa, booked through Dewa's own site (cheapest!).
Villa was clean, large, and very private; pool large enough to comfortably hang around in with two, and resort's pool clean and comfy as well.
Outdoor bathtub and shower (with hot water) very nice; sun beds in our private backyard.
TV with sufficient international channels and with DVD Player.

Beach across the road; gorgeous and very quiet. Unfortunately unsafe to really swim at this time of year, but great for strolling by and getting your toes wet at. On the South-end of the beach there was swimming and kite-surfing though.
Plenty of (beach) restaurants down the street (5-10 mins walk) at half the price of the hotel restaurant (which was very nice though; good quality tasty foods).

2 (!) happy hours at bar next to pool every day.

Bad: they forgot to pick us up at the airport...no biggie, we jumped into a cab.
Good: Room, pool, beach, service

Tip: get pool villa, but not one next to the road inbetween the beach and the resort

Thank you very much for writing a review for us following your very recent stay with us. And for making the reservation with us directly. I do apologize for the "missed" airport pickup and I hope our staff had made up for the oversight with you. If not, please do drop me an email and I will attend to it. This aside, I am glad to read that you have had a wonderful stay with us. The sea is a bit rough this time of year, all around Phuket, as we are faced with the south - west monsoon, but I assure you that it is not every day that the sea is rough, and obviously, the best time to visit Phuket is between the months of November to April when the North West monsoon is blowing as the sea is completely calm then. I hope you will come and visit Phuket again, during your winter months, which will be our good months, and it will be our pleasure to welcome you back.
Warmest wishes from Phuket, Lillian
