“OK, but there are better..”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 January 2014

having left karon beach, we asked our hotel staff if there was a less crowded beach nearby, kata noi beach was recommended.

our taxi fare from karon to kata noi beach was 400baht, which quite honestly is a rip off, given how close it was.

anyway, when we arrived at the beach, it was noticably less crowded, and appeared cleaner.

well worth a visit, but as with many beaches in phuket, its packed with russian tourists. so be prepared.

the best about this beach is that on the day we visited, there were no water sports, meaning we could enjoy a quieter environment.

“Perfect Vacation”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 January 2014

My husband and I stayed at Kata Thani resort for our honeymoon and enjoyed this beach all day, every day. It's open to the public, but if you stay at the resort, then you can retreat from the crowd whenever you want. The water is blue, the waves are fun, and it seems a lot less crowed then all the beaches to the north. You can get delicious coconuts, fruit shakes, and water, beers, and ice cream for cheap on the beach. To rent two lounge chairs is 200 baht ($6). There's a cute little restaurant called On the Rocks at the far end that has a large menu. The service is slow, but you're on vacation! And, you can sit and eat in your bikini. And, by the way, some Italians and French and Russian women sunbathed topless... just a caution for more conservative [American] families traveling with kids.

We spent our honeymoon in Kata Noi. Quiet location with small town and lovely massage parlours all over. Little bit of heaven.

When ı go to tropical island ı expect to see the tourquise water with white sands but kata is too crowded and too many sun beds o the beach that you cannot feel that you are in relaxing tropical island. For me paradise beach in phuket is the best beach to go..

“Beautiful, peaceful hidden gem of a beach!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 December 2013 via mobile

My husband and I visited this gem of a beach today and stayed until sunset. The sand was pristine and sea water crystal clear!! Just perfect! Took taxi from patong for 400 baht which is also reasonable. Food and drink at Kata Noi is also well priced. Highly recommend a trip here!!!
