“One of the most horrible hotels I've ever been stayed in”
Reviewed 27 September 2013

I'm not such a picky person. But what happened in the hotel is out of my tolerance.
The first day we arrived, there was no electric at all. I assumed such a big hotel should prepare an auxiliary power system in case of blackout, but no.It was OK, I could shower in dark.
But what happened next is not so easy to ignore. The bar in the next street was NOISY THE WHOLE NIGHT. It kept me up the whole night. I think they didn't stop until the sunrise. And after the sunrise it became another kind of noisy, All the stores were open and you could hear it clearly from the bedroom.
I went to the front desk to ask if I could change the room for the next day becasue I did really fell so sleepy and tired, the lady told me there was no room available at all. So I asked for earplugs, the answer was no again. I was a little disappointed but I thought there is only one night more for all those noises. About the 9:00 am, the lady called me and said they may change the room for me. And I went to the front desk again at 10:00 am, she tell me they could change our room to another suite face another direction, and she even told me the room No. I said we may not stay at the hotel at 3:00 or 4:00 PM. She said it is all right and she chould help us to move the baggages. I was so happy and told my parents the good news. But when we come back at 16:30. The front desk told us there is no room available at all. And she could not tell me eariler because she could not connact me. We stayed in the room until 14:00!!!!!! If you could not keep a promise, just do not make it at all. And I checked through BOOKING, there is still room available at that time.
So there are some tips for people who want to live in this hotel. 1. Arrive as early as possible, If you're signed with a room No. is 3A,4A,5A-16A, tell them you want to change to the room No. with D, like 3D, 4D,5D....2. Do not trust the front desk too much. 3. Do not think those bad experience won't happen to you. I used to think it that way, and it turned out to be a huge mistake.

Room Tip: 1. Arrive as early as possible, If you're signed with a room No. is 3A,4A,5A-16A, tell them you...

very convenient location close the Karon beach and stunning panoramic view of the sea, Karon town and the hills beyond(from the 2 bedroom units), make it among the most enjoyable holiday accommodations I have come across. For someone like me wanting to catch up on a backlog of reading, the sea-facing balcony is a great refuge.
Pleasant and thoughtful support staff, good upkeep, a pretty good swimming pool and spacious accommodation are added advantages.
Would love to stay there this November.
Paul

Room Tip: 10th floor and above offers very good uncluttered view.

Yes its a little outdated but the space and the views make up for it. We had a 1 bedroom apartment on the 17th floor. 2 balconies - 1 off the living area and 1 off the bedroom. The living area was lovely - newish day beds, nice chair, big flat screen TV. The apartment was well catered for by air conditioners - there was 3 of them. The kitchen was a little dated but the fridge was new and the appliances and utensils were all there and worked fine. The king size bed was huge and quite comfortable. The bathroom was the worst part - old and mouldy and had leaks. The shower didn't stay hot either. That's really the bad bit and if you aren't worried by that, then its a great place. The pool was fabulous - big enough and deep enough. No problems getting a lounger as not many people when we stayed there. The location is great, just around the corner to the main area for restaurants and shops. We could walk to the temple markets. We would definitely stay there again as the price was insanely low, so it is pretty good value. It was good to be able to store food and drinks in the fridge. There is no restaurant so we self-catered for breakfast or went to one of the close by restaurants (which were pretty cheap). The apartment is massive, one of the biggest one bedrooms I have seen. Our daughter had a sofa bed in the lounge room and our bedroom was big. Would have been nice to have a TV in the bedroom too but there was a large wardrobe to store everything. Housekeeping were very obliging too. Nice people.

Room Tip: A high floor for good views and no noise

The highlight of the apartment is its location as it is right in front of Karon beach. We stayed in 2 BHK beach facing apartment on the 20 floor with a stuning view of the beautiful sea. For the location and facility, pricing of SGD 355 for 3 nights was cheap.

The apartment exterior and the room decor looks old and outdated. Though the apartment does not have an inhouse mini mart or restaurant, there are enough options closeby (7 - 10 min walk) to stuff up your refrigerator. The pool is sufficiently large to cater to everyone's needs. The apartment does not have a fitness centre.

For a serviced apartment, service level is standard is decent with room for improvement.

Room Tip: Select high floors with sea view

We have stayed at the Waterfront Suites on two occasions and both times the experience was great. It was really hard to leave both times, in fact the second time we extended quite a few times. If you are looking for a great value spacious long stay apartment look no further. Kitchen and dining facilities make it very homely. The Waterfront staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is great and only a short stroll to the beach, and close to some great restaurants (Two Chefs around the corner is worth a look). The only negative, a minor negative really was the zip together king single beds to make a larger king bed. Look forward to our next visit.

Room Tip: The higher floors (above floor 11) have good views.
