We loved our experience at Andaman Seaview Hotel. The rooms were big, the linen clean, the pool spectacular and the food yummy! We enjoyed sitting at the pool bar: there's chairs in the pool so you can enjoy your local beer, devine! We will most definately visit this hotel again!

Came from England, stayed 10 nights, rooms were clean, bed clothes clean, towels clean. Staff were friendly, birds were a nuisance pecking at the food if you were on the tables near the pool (only if you left your food unattended if you went to get something else). Rooms air conditioned and a ceiling fan. Tea, coffee and 6 bottles of water were provided each day. Wifi you had to pay for which was a shame, so we didn't eat at the restaurant, we went up to Kata Villa for our evening meal which was reasonably priced and Wifi free!! Although we did have an evening meal on the last night which was a Thai Buffett which was good. Corridors and verandas were kept clean and when it did rain they were out mopping it up. Downside was the pool area, decking in need of major works, small pieces no good, workmen repairing it whilst around the pool. One couple with 2 children arrived when the mother broke her toes on the 1st day, it spoiled the rest of the holiday as the management gave them no help, they were on the 4th floor and she could not join in the pool activities, or go out on the scooters as thy ad planned. Beach is lovely but unable to sim at this time of the year use to the rip currents
Overall it was satisfactory and we enjoyed ourselves.

Room Tip: We requested a superior room but superior for them is deluxe so rather disappointing. We got a side...

When we arrived we were warmly welcomed and were initially impressed with our room. On closer inspection the peeling paint and worn bedclothes changed our view. The rooms have all the facitlities required, but no WIFI, which when purchased was very slow.

The breakfast food is excellent and a large variety. Sitting by the pool for breakfast is very nice, but the birds dropping in and mosquitos spoils it. You must where insect repellent everywhere in this hotel. Only the bedrooms have air conditioning. Wearing insect repellent to bed became a must.

The two pools are very nice and they provide sun loungers and towels. The main pool is a U shape so swimming lengths is not possible. We found it was mostly visited by families with children. The decking is old and the man with hammer repairing it became a familiar site.

The hotel is close to the main road, with a beatiuful beach opposite. Watching the sunset is a wonderful experience. Going towards Karon main centre is a range of run down market stalls and street sellers. Going up the hill towards Karon is much nicer and there are some good restaurants,

Most guests were Chinese or Russian, as commented on by many other reviews. There is no bar area so the evening atmosphere is non existent. Very few people chatted to each other. Every evening we went out.

This was our third hotel in Thailand on this holiday and the poorest by far. All were classed as 4 star, but this one needs an overhaul. I would recommend new bed clothes, with no stains, new room furniture without the paint peeling and trying to sort out the wildlife population that live there as well.

What can I say. When you book here it can happen that you will not stay at the hotel you paid for. In our case they said that there was a "computer problem" (for real?) so we had to spend half of our stay in Patong at their sister hotel which is sub standard. Then when coming back to the hotel we paid for we got a room with 60 mosquitos inside waiting for lunch. They tried to make up for it with food vouchers, but the food was terrible compared to the stuff you get from the street for one tenth of the price. The only plus is Karons beautiful beach. But you can get that a lot cheaper and hasle free.

In short just avoid booking here!

I stayed in this hotel for my vacation on last july 2013. I love the interior of room, its very vintage.
and I love because its in front of the beach. I do love their beauty kit. Overall this is a very nice hotel to spend your vacation, with very friendly staff.
Maybe, hotel manager must put more attention for toilet and the bathroom equipments, example: toilet water flush, the clean of balcony, and good maintenance for furniture in the room, example: lamps and chair. Also maybe your hotel need more plants/flowers in the garden.
Keep friendly, keep vintage, more clean, well maintenance, more plants/flowers in your garden, I'll back to your hotel for my next vacation.

Room Tip: in front of main pool with beach view.

Nice surrounding. Staff are friendly, Requested for sea view but was turndown. Busy period I guess. Wifi was charged which I feel ridiculous. Even restaurant outside hotel was providing free Wifi. 200 baht for 1 hour and 300 baht 24hrs. I think management should review this policy. Other hotels are not charging for wifi. Promotion menus need to be updated promptly. Asked guest to come for BBQ buffet but they changed menu and its was Thai buffet :( overall experience was ok. But staff are really helpful and smiling always.

Room Tip: Request for sea-view before . Friendly staff and helpful.

My husband and I spent two weeks at Andaman Sea View. The highlight of our stay at the hotel was the wonderful customer service we receieved from all the staff at the hotel. The receptionists made every effort to remember our names and to greet us every time we passed by the front desk. The breakfast staff were always on hand to help carry our plates over to our tables if we were juggling too much. The hotel probably is more on a 3 star rating, rather than 4 star, but the hotel staff really make the difference...thank you very much Ms Irish, Ms Kanyarat and Ms Sutarat!!

We enjoyed the breakfast which was plentiful and to a good standard, the breakfast had a bakery section with bread, pastries, cakes etc. The fruit section with juicy papaya, water melon, pineaplle etc. The hot food section with (eggs made to your liking), sausages, bacon, noodles, soup, rice, chicken etc. There is also a variety of drinks from pineapple, guava, orange, tea, coffee etc.

We never stayed for lunch to dinner as there is such a wide variety of tasty thai food in the area. However, the hotel had certain nights where they put on a BBQ, discount drinks and food nights.

The hotel is rightly called 'sea view' as the beach is literally across the road. Karom beach is very clean and AMAZING, with picture perfect clear blue waters and white sand. It is unspoilt with very few people (especially during off peak season which is now). You can also take a local bus only 35 bht per person to Kata beach or a Tuk Tuk for 200 bht. If you want to visit Patong beach (which I wouldn't because it is crowded and not as nice), you can take a tuk tuk for 400 bht). Local buses and tuk tuks stop right outside the hotel,s o you have great access to everywhere.

The hotel is next to a polic station so you feel very safe (but Thialand feels very safe anyway).

BEWARE of companies such as Absolute World and other time share companies (althought they will deny they sell time shares). We were approached by two young men on motor bikes (they usually are Eurapean but can be any nationality), and they wil tell you you have won a gift and theya sk you to go to their offices for a 90 minute presentation and then you receieve the prize. The presentation actually lasts 4 hours and you are pressurised into buying tme share that last for 32 years, its all a con and cost you thousands of pounds. Many tourists have been victims of this and have shelled out thousands of pounds to Absolute world to find out it later that it was all a scam. Please do not accet any 'free prizes' or invitations to go and view a presentation.

Improvements the hotel could make is perhaps double pillows, free wifi as currently it costs 300bht for 24 hours and it does begin t add up if you need to go online. The TV channels are rather limited (not that we watched much tv, bu on those days when you just want to relax, it would be useful). We would advise the hotel to perhaps invest in mosquito vaparising system as there are a lot of mosquitos.

The disappointing aspects of the stay, is perhaps the large number of Russian and Chinese guests who are often inpolite and do not even smile or say hello to you (even when you are going up the lift). They seem to think everyone is invisible as they barge past you as if you do not exist. The best thing the hotel can do is try to encourage non- russian and non-chinese travel agents to send people to the hotel, to bring more diversity. All other guests from other nationalities were lovely and we knew who they were instantly because they would say hello or smile...basic courtesy goes a long way!

We will write up another review to provide more info on things to do in Karon and Kata area. We wil keep you posted.
