“Quiet, peaceful, beautiful”
Reviewed 19 May 2014

I love this hotel. It's really beautiful with stunning views, and the rooms have a really traditional feel to them and are immaculately clean, modern and comfortable.
The pool is quite large and there are plenty of sun loungers and more on the hotel roof too which is great for catching that last hour of sun.
Breakfast was not included in our price but was only about £4 and was great value for money. Lovely surroundings to eat in as well.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and they have a shuttle bus every hour to take you down into town. They will also pick you up if you need that too. That is a great help as the hill upto the hotel is so steep you would do very well to do it more than once!
In the 5 days we stayed there wasn't really anything going on in the hotel. Hardly anyone had an evening meal, no one ever had a drink at the bar so the atmosphere was a bit dead which was a shame. I'm sure at other times there must be things happening.
They also have a gorgeous cat who loves to be stroked. Always a bonus!

We live in Thailand and had a flight from our home city in Udon Thani to Phuket late afternoon and then a flight to Malaysia the following night. As we’re not big fans of Phuket in general, only really doing that when friends are visiting, we wanted something good value that had a pool and was not smack in the middle of a tourist city. Our searching options on tripadvisor led us to book this place for our little over 24 hour layover in Phuket. This turned out to be a good choice.

We drove here renting a car from the airport. It was easy to find because we knew the turn was near the post office and had the name of the soi. The road leading up to it I was worried might be too much for the budget low horse power rental car, but we made it up there okay. There wasn’t much in terms of parking available, but we parked on the street just fine.

The check in went smooth and they helped us to our room by carrying bags for us. The room was nice, bed was comfortable and had a balcony area that overlooked the swimming pool. The hotel gave us a shuttle schedule but we didn’t need this. We spent the full next day at the hotel. Ordered food there which was great. Used their small to medium sized swimming pool which was clean. Nothing negative to say about the place. It was what we were looking for and it lived up to expectations. We didn’t pay very much at all per night so were quite happy with the place.

Upon arrival at the airport and agreeing to pay THB 800 for transfer to Karon in large Toyota, i was not expecting that it will take exactly 1 hour to reach the hotel.

Upon arrival, however, that was forgotten very quickly as I was really pleased to find a place what I was looking for: compact hotel (only 42 rooms) away from the tourist infested coastline.

Add to this the fact, that the hotel is on a hill next to the forest, sound of cicadas and bird songs in the morning, decent sized pool and friendly staff, and my image of perfect holidays was getting real with every minute.

WiFi access was good, restaurant served tasty meals (prices on par with the coastline restaurants, however). Liked the large shower and the beautiful doors of the entrance and the closet.

Luis, the Guest service manager even managed to get me to participate in my first ever yoga class!

So all great and I am happy with my stay, and, if in the area, would not hesitate to come back again.

But why only 4 out of 5 points for my stay?

While nice and friendly, the service should be further improved. Especially, because due to low season, only fraction of the rooms were occupied. After first night of struggle with hard and very high pillow, I was asking to provide me with thinner one. The response never came.

Room service delivered completely different food, and more than ordered. That was of course sorted out eventually, however all this left me with cold rice and lost magic of warm summer nights dinner with a view...

So nothing major, as said before, would not hesitate to return, but room for further improvement. The hotel is pet friendly, so be prepared to occasionally see rat-sized dogs and their owners. But that is my personal problem...

I'm a solo traveler who not expected about this hotel but i was surprise!
All staffs treat me like a special one they are very friendly (Front office , Restaurant , Pick up service , Room service , House keeper , Spa etc. I love you all)
CC's Hideaway has free shuttle service from hotel to 10 stops in beach area from early morning to late night. The restaurant and bar has very nice view with fair price and good quality ( if compare with other restaurant in beach area)

and you shouldn't miss party that they created new theme everyday Friday !!!

Room Tip: Ocean Vista Room are the best ( a bit quiet) but Pool Access room is also good for people who love...

Spent a week at the CC hideaway (formerly known as CC Bloom - useful to know as the taxi drivers dont know the new name). The hotel itself looks about 10-15 years old and is nicely arranged.

We arrived at 2AM a member of staff was there to greet us and show us to our rooms. The food and drink is relatively expensive as compared to eateries closer to the beach but we lunched at the hideaway and found the food to be of a good standard.

The hideaway runs a free hourly shuttle (till 11PM) bus to and from karon and kata town/beach which is very useful, takes about 10-15 minutes to get to town. You may also arrange transport to local attractions through the hotel's transport which is good for seeing the area with a trustworthy guide.

My room (31) was nicely decorated and well equipped. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning was fully functional which isn't always the case in Thailand. The only problem was that the bathroom smelled of sewage and during my stay I had to evict four cockroaches from the bathroom, i presume they get in through the badly sealed wall fittings for the plumbing. The showers are large walk in showers and again are nicely decorated.

The hotel is set back up a very steep hill and taxi drivers will either reject you or ask for more money to go up the hill.

All in all the hotel was superb value, the staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the facilities were excellent. Just sort out the bathrooms!

Room Tip: Rooms round the pool will probably be quite loud during the high season as people jump in!

Thank you for taking time out to write this review.

Though we regularly (at least twice monthly) spray for unwanted insects - living in the jungle can prove to be a challenge. We will address your comments about the sealing around the plumbing today so we don't make it any easier for them.

As for the smell in the bathroom - another challenge - though the smell was probably not sewage, but instead, the water used in the toilets. This is an intermittent problem that we have been working on. We take pride in being an "eco-friendly" hotel and much of the "grey" water (water from wash basins and showers) are diverted to a recycle area for treatment for use in toilets. Water is a precious commodity in Phuket so we try to take measures to have less of an impact on the environment here. I'm not sure if you know but much of the water used in our hotel is solar heated by a large array of panels located on our highest roof. Our grey water recycling system has been adjusted and we will continue to calibrate it so we hope we have fixed the "odiferous" issue you mentioned.

We hope you return soon to CC's Hideaway and we can meet all of your expectations.

If you're looking for some quiet time and still be only a taxi ride away from a night out on the town, then CCs is perfect. The place is a little bigger since I last stayed there following renovations, but the rooms are great and it remains a well run, good service kinda place at very reasonable prices. CCs has a long standing good reputation, deservedly so, and lots of returning guests.
