“Excellent but shame about the loud music”
Reviewed 8 September 2013 via mobile

We stayed here 12 nights.

The rooms are large and have plenty of storage space. There is a fridge, kettle and safe, which we appreciated. There were quite a few small ants running around by the kettle though, which we kept killing, but housekeeping never did anything about eg. Ant spray. The wifi didn't work in the room very well.

It's great you get beach towels to take on trips with you or just down to the beach. The hotel is less than a minute from the beach and we enjoyed watching the football games in the stadium from our room.

The food is well priced and tasty, they were doing special things like a free burger or starter some nights, which we enjoyed. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

We didn't like the music from the bar next door that played until 1am every night. The reception is not clearly signposted - it's just the bar, a real inconvience to get to through the restaurant tables with bags and the entrance into the garden seemed to be always blocked by scooters.

An excellent place to stay especially for the special offer price of 500 Baht. If we came back to Karon we would stay here again! We would have given it 5/5 but couldn't because of the noise and poor wifi.

The rooms are well cared for by the girls and so much work goes on behind the scenes here, unnoticed if you are a casual visitor or on a short visit. I have stayed there for three months over the last year so I appreciate the little changes that happen.

The food is always well presented and very well priced, just try it you wont be disappointed. They have great specials food and rooms for the low season.

The beach is just across the road so easy to access.

The band in a venue nearby up the hill plays unnecessarily loud after 10 pm and sometimes until 1.00 am. If you enjoy going to sleep listening to music you will be okay

Room Tip: Away from the road end are preferred.

Didn't stay in the hotel, but has food in the restaurant which was excellent, generous. We ate there every night and had free starters, drinks a couple of times and food was excellent. Staff very friendly. Our daughter and son-in-law stayed in the villa which was very good.

Little budget hotel situated between karon and Kata beach. Loved the location for a drive on the moto between the two beaches. We paid 500 BHT per night, bargain!. There is every thing you need in the room, AC, fridge, hot water etc..Breakfast was 125 BHT pp average quality.
Restaurant nearby having live music with Russians, very noisy and loud at night.
I stayed at this hotel only because we went on tours and we basically come back to sleep.
I checked out after 2 nights because of the mosquitos.
But not a big issue, if you are on a budget. Yes stay here, you can just buy mosquito spray and treat your room.

Overall, great hotel for the price being paid.

Room Tip: My tip is the price. If it is really cheap then go for it.

Our group of 8 (two families) stayed here for 10 nights in mid-July 2013 and had a wonderful stay. We paid 500 baht per room (low season rate) which was *incredible* value.

This hotel is really well located at the southern end of Karon beach and just 10 minutes walk from beautiful Kata beach.

The rooms while basic were very clean and had all the facilities you could need including air conditioning, a small fridge, comfy bed, TV and in-room safe.

The pool area was great (with plenty of towels) and we enjoyed lots of well priced food & drinks both beside the pool and in the restaurant. The breakfast menu was especially good - for just 120 baht you could chose 5 items from the extensive menu so lots of mix & match choices to suit the whole family!

A highlight for us were the staff - they were so friendly and smiley that they just made our holiday!

my first stay here , though I have eaten in there restaurant many times over the years. The rooms are basic , but quite large with a very good air conditioner . Staff are pleasant & helpful.
The food was great & the drinks still a bargain. Still only 500B a night. Would stay here again.

Stayed at Kata Villas in July during the off season. We were really surprised - pleasant rooms with aircon and fan, great showers, great pool area, 30s across the road to the beach, and great food - both Thai and western (really good breakfast and burgers!), Great for the family. We did notice a bit of road noise, and other reviews have noted the band playing at the restaurant next door until late, but it wasn't every night, and for us, the pros outweighed the cons - certainly the best value non-backpacker accomm we found when looking.

Room Tip: The bottom floor rooms seemed to have less road noise than the upper level
