We ordered the steam pork. It was fatty and succulent. The spices used remind me of the pongteh dishes of Melaka. The fried vegetables with shrimp is amazingly good. The vegetables still crisp. The shrimp is fried so well, we eat them whole chewing off their shells. The shrimp cakes which we ordered are made from fresh shrimps. It is not spicy and wonderful for the kids.
Finally, the fish curry with coconut shoots. Well soured with tamarind. The shoots are crunchy and the fish's strong flavor is well masked and complemented by the curry.
This place deserves its rating not just for the antique surrounds, but also its dishes.
