Having negotiated a really good rate, my wife and I booked this hotel for 30 days as a base to explore Phuket.
The hotel is well appointed and the rooms really big.
Large bed and really good sized bathroom.
The rooms are well maintained with fresh linen and towels everyday.
The location in Phuket Old Town is cel lent and no more than 10 minutes walk away from anywhere.
The rooms have tea/coffee facilities and also a large fridge and microwave.
There are no catering facilities here but the hotel is surrounded by many eateries.
The local boys station is a 5 minute walk from the hotel and from here all of Phuket island is available for 70pence.
The hotel pool area is quite small but on the occasions we did use it we were never left wanting.
The shower in the room is probably the best I've come across in Thailand so far.
Only one small problem for me was the poor wifi. There seemed to be only 1 node per floor and if your room was a distance from it, it was a problem

I booked this room based on majority of the reviews I read on trip advisor.

CONS-
Very loud, if you're a light sleeper you will not be happy staying here. The walls are paper thin, you can hear anyone walking or talking. Location is near airport therefore expect to hear airplanes often. As of February, there is also construction going on next door which doesn't help the noise issue. The air conditioner is not central so if you're picky about this, do not stay here. It was very loud for us and blew right over our bed which wasn't comfortable at all. Jacuzzi in room was small, therefore don't expect two people to fit.

PROS-
Cute location right off the Nimman strip which has cute cafés and restaurants. Location isn't too far from night bazaar, but wouldn't walk there. Bed was comfy, sheets were clean. Nice view if you're on a higher floor. Breakfast was good.

This is a good budget hotel, not recommended if you're looking for luxury or if you're a picky traveller and can't sleep well unless things are perfect. Very small and boutique style.

We spent one night here on our way to Tonsai. The room was spacious and clean with a balcony providing a nice view of the pool. The property is off the main street and fairly quiet. The customer service is fantastic and helped us with any queries we had. Would definitely recommend the stay!

We stayed at Baan Suwantawe for three nights. The hotel is well situated if you want to see Phuket Town. The rooms are large, clean and well appointed. There was not a fixed safe in our room but a mobile one was available on request. Internet coverage was good and the pool was pleasant. All in all a reasonable place to stay.

Room Tip: We stayed in a pool facing room and it was pleasant.

When we were driving through the cat town we were a little concerned, but then we found our own oasis in this hotel. The pool is beautiful and exactly like it is listed on the website. The rooms are large and clean and the staff is very friendly. The only downside is that there is a pond like feature right next to the lobby that invites and mosquitoes. We only got bitten if we had to wait on the lobby only, we had no issues inside our room. Other than that it was perfect. If we return to Phuket town we would absolutely stay here again.

The place was nice for a shortstay. it´s a 5 minute walk to the old city, very clean and comfortable but there is no breakfast possible at the hotel. You can also enjoy the pool during daytime. One important thing, don’t forget your earplugs at night, there are nightclubs in the neighborhood and you can year them until 2 am, So if you are looking for a real quiet place at night, I could not recommend it, otherwise it´s a good place at a good price.

We were very impressed with this hotel. It is nice and close to all the sights and sounds that are Phuket Town. We have had other stays in town and this is by far the best yet. The rooms are spacious and always clean, good aircon. You have the choice of a separate shower or a comfortable full bath tub with water that is always hot in the one bathroom. If you happen to be a smoker, the balcony is available to use at your leisure. We made good use of the swimming pool after a big days outing. Although there is no breakfast available, there are many restaurants open early for just this purpose and it's so good to get out amongst the locals. We totally enjoyed our stay and would gladly return if we should find ourselves back in Phuket town. The town itself is such a gem and you can get away from all the hustle of the beach side of the island. Give me the Post side any time.

Room Tip: We stayed on the second level, no problems. Stairs and lift available.
