“An idyllic cottage, perfect for a mini getaway”
Reviewed 21 October 2013 for a stay in September 2013

This little cottage was perfect for a few days away following our wedding. It was peaceful, idyllic, old and rural with unique features. Whatever the weather you can make the most of the cottage and its location - being up on the hill you have great views. I wanted it to rain just to make the most of the mezzanine level, where you are able to wrap up in the dry yet listen to the rain falling on the roof - quite romantic! The log fire was great and soon warmed us up as the weather turned a little chilly; although we were also able to sit out on the patio with a glass of champagne and watch the sun go down.

I would definitely recommend this cottage.

“A special little cottage in a wonderful location.”
Reviewed 9 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

Hope cottage is a delightful sympathetically restored gem. The owners are welcoming and very helpful. If you like walking, touring and relaxing then it is ideal. The location is like a step back in time, to little lanes and passageways, there is a pleasant pub just up the lane and plenty more within a short distance.
It is well placed for exploring the southern Cotswolds and at the end of the day there is a very nice terrace with views over the valley. It would be a pleasure to go back sometime.

“Lovely Cotswold cottage, stunning scenery”
Reviewed 30 August 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We stayed at Hope Cottage for a few nights in the summer with my parents and it was just beautiful. High up with stunning views, the cottage is the perfect Cotswold location. Newly renovated, the cottage is modern, clean and has everything you need for a break. The pub 3 minutes down the road is very convenient too! We would definitely recommend and return to Hope Cottage!

“The perfect country cottage”
Reviewed 7 August 2013 for a stay in July 2013

Very clean, fresh and comfortable cottage, both myself, husband and my three kids loved our time there. It was so relaxing, we had lovely walks each evening wandering around and then ending up in the local pub, which was very friendly and were able to have a lovely drink out side with the children. My children loved exploring the area and we felt it was very safe for them. We really enjoyed having a relaxing peaceful breakfast each morning in the little garden which had great views. Sarah was very friendly and helping giving us great ideas/advice of where to go and what to see and do in the area. Thanks for a really lovely holiday!

“Fantastic peaceful cottage to escape and relax”
Reviewed 30 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

Hope Cottage is situated in a quiet and peaceful village, off the beaten track. The cottage is clean and has all the comforts of home. The fireplace is a great feature as is the picture window on the first floor which provides views that you can loose yourself in. There is a friendly local pub within walking distance. I enjoyed visiting nearby Stroud with its second hand shops and exellent farmers market. A very relaxing weekend away.

“Amazing View”
Reviewed 15 July 2013 for a stay in June 2013

We have just returned from a four night stay at Hope Cottage and to cut a long story short its amazing. Inside it is immaculately clean, definitely has that homely feeling, on an evening you can have your man or woman for that matter stoking up a roaring fire in the log burner. We were very fortunate to have fabulous weather and had a bbq on an evening which was the best, as the view is fabulous from the gem of a garden. Even Alfie our dog seemed to be taken by it!

The cottage is in a fabulous area and places like Cirencester and Bourton-on-the-Water are only short drives away, also plenty of walks around the village with a welcoming beverage after a long days walk at the local pubs which have very friendly natives! ;D

All in all a brilliant holiday you will not be disappointed if you stay here. Ooh just one thing make sure you don't lock yourself out, not the best idea. Fortunately Sarah the owner saved us from an evening under
the stars. Thanks again for that Sarah!
